Day 1: Istanbul – Belgrade
Meeting at the International Departures terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before our flight. Departing for Belgrade at 14:25 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1079. After a comfortable flight, arrival at 14:20 and after immigration procedures, our city tour of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia and one of the oldest cities in Europe, begins with our private bus. Among the places to be visited are the magnificent ornate ceiling decorated Old Palace from the Ottoman period, the Millennium Monument, Belgrade Fortress at the point where the Sava River joins the Danube, which was the supply center of the Ottoman fleet where Fatih Sultan Mehmed was wounded, but the conquest was realized by Kanuni Sultan Süleyman, Kalemegdan Park, the Military Museum, the tomb of Martyr Ali Pasha, and Bayraklı Mosque. After the tour, overnight at our hotel in Belgrade.
Day 2: Belgrade
After breakfast, a free day for guests who wish to join the Zemun & Avala Tower & Tito's Tomb Tour & Tesla Museum Tour. After the completion of our tour, we will return to Belgrade. Overnight at our hotel in Belgrade.
Optional Tour: Zemun & Avala Tower & Tito's Tomb Tour & Tesla Museum: 80 Euro
Guests can participate in the extra arranged tour of Zemun - Avala Tower and Tito's Tomb. First, we head to Zemun. In Zemun, we will see the villas from the Austro-Hungarian period, the bazaar, meadow cafes street, the old theater, and Zemun Park. Then we will visit the Avala Tower, designed by architects Ugljesa Bogunovic and Slobodan Janjic. The tower was bombed by NATO in 1999 and reopened in 2010. After touring the tower, we will visit the memorial tomb of Tito, the founder of the second Yugoslavia, who was elected president of Yugoslavia on January 13, 1953 and made Yugoslavia a Socialist Federal Republic. He was appointed President for life in 1974 and passed away in 1980, with still ongoing controversies surrounding his legacy. After visiting Tito's tomb, we will head to the Tesla Museum. Nikola Tesla, a Serbian-American inventor, physicist, and expert in electromagnetism, revolutionized the world with many inventions and experiments that have been used or remain unutilized. His invention of the wireless transmission of electricity reveals what a unique inventor he was. We are sure you will be amazed by this museum.
Day 3: Belgrade
After breakfast, a free day. Guests can explore the city and enjoy Belgrade at their leisure. Overnight at our hotel in Belgrade.
Day 4: Belgrade - Istanbul
After breakfast and checking out of the rooms, guests who wish can participate in the Novi Sad-Sremski Karlovci Tour. After the tour, we will head to the airport. After baggage, boarding passes, and check-in procedures, we depart for Istanbul Airport at 15:10 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1080. Arrival at 19:05 and end of our tour. We hope to see you again on our next organization.
Optional Tour: Novi Sad & Sremski Karlovci Tour: 65 Euro
In this tour, we set off for Novi Sad with our special vehicle in the morning. Our first stop is Sremski Karlovci. In this beautiful town, the Peace Treaty of Karlowitz was signed after 72 days of negotiations in 1699 between the Ottoman Empire and Austria-Hungary, Venice, and Poland. During our visit, we will see the four-gated venue where the agreement was signed, as well as the square, four lion fountains, the historic high school, Orthodox and Catholic churches among other places. After a coffee break, we will continue our journey. On the way, we will see Belgrade Gate, the Clock Tower, Upper Town, Long Barracks, and Leopold Gate at Petrovaradin Fortress. Then we will arrive in Novi Sad. Vojvodina is a multi-ethnic province in northern Serbia, and its capital is Novi Sad, the most developed region economically in Serbia. During our walking tour here, we will see the Liberty Square, People's Theatre, Danube Street and waterfront, Svetozar Miletić Statue, Catholic Cathedral, Orthodox St. George Cathedral, St. Nicholas Church, and Synagogue as panoramic sites.
