Meeting at Çukurova Airport departure terminal in front of Ajet Airlines check-in counter 3 hours before the flight. We are departing from Çukurova directly to TZL Airport with Ajet Airlines scheduled flight. After approximately two hours of comfortable travel, we arrive. After the country entry procedures, we transfer to our hotel in Tuzla with our private vehicle waiting at the airport.
Day 2: Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina) – Belgrade
After breakfast, we depart from our hotel and embark on a pleasant journey to Serbia’s capital, Belgrade. Historically one of the most important cultural and strategic centers of the Balkans, Belgrade stands out today with its vibrancy, activity, and historical texture. We will have the opportunity to explore the intersection of Ottoman and European cultures in this enchanting city. Upon our arrival in Belgrade, a panoramic city tour begins where we will discover the city’s grandeur. Here, you can feel the historical atmosphere and explore the fabric that blends Belgrade's past with the present. Next, we head to one of the city’s most impressive spots, where the Sava River meets the Danube River. It will be a great pleasure to explore this region, which has been the focus of many conquests and victories throughout history, from this unique viewpoint. While continuing to discover this ancient city, which Fatih Sultan Mehmet was wounded for but whose conquest was destined for Kanuni Sultan Süleyman, you will encounter the Belgrade Fortress, which served as the supply center for the Ottoman navy. While tracing the footprints of history in this fortress, we will also see important sites such as Kalemegdan Park and Tašmajdan. Upon our arrival, this city, which has been the cultural capital of the Balkans for centuries and is historically noted as the place where World War I broke out after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary by Serbs in 1914, awaits us. Severely damaged during the war in 1992 between Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks, Sarajevo has managed to preserve much of its beauty. During our panoramic city tour, we will see the famous Baščaršija, the historic Ottoman caravanserai Morica Han, buildings reflecting the city’s religious cosmopolitanism such as the Catholic Cathedral, Synagogue, Hüsrev Bey Mosque, and Ferhadija Mosque, the Latin Bridge where the assassination of Franz Ferdinand took place in 1914, the Old Library, and the western-style buildings that emerged during 40 years of Austro-Hungarian rule.
