Optional Tour: Zemun & Avala Tower & Tito's Tomb Tour & Tesla Museum: 70 Euro
Guests wishing to join our additional tour of Zemun - Avala Tower and Tito's tomb can do so. Firstly, we go to Zemun. In Zemun, we will see the Austria-Hungarian period mansions, the market, the tavern street, the old theater, and Zemun Park. Next, we go to the Avala Tower, designed by architects Ugljesa Bogunovic and Slobodan Janjic. The tower, which was bombed by NATO in 1999 and reopened in 2010, will be visited before we head to the memorial of Marshal Tito, a Croat who became the founder of the second Yugoslavia. Tito became the President of Yugoslavia on January 13, 1953, and turned Yugoslavia into a Socialist Federal Republic. He was appointed President for life in 1974 and passed away in 1980, but his legacy remains controversial. After visiting Tito's tomb, we will visit the Tesla Museum. Nikola Tesla, a Serb-American inventor, physicist, and expert in electrophyics made numerous contributions to science and technology that have the potential to change the world fundamentally. His invention of wireless electricity transmission exemplifies how unique an inventor he was. We believe you will be amazed by this museum.
