How Many Days Should You Set Aside for a Balkan Tour? Route and Departure City Guide
When choosing a Balkan tour, don't look only at the number of countries. Evaluate together the number of days you can set aside, your departure city, the travel style, and the places you want to see. Two programs covering the same region may differ in transportation, accommodation, and included services.
Short getaway or wide route?
If you are planning a trip of a few days, compare how much time is devoted to traveling rather than sightseeing in programs with fewer cities. The Great Balkan programs that cover several countries with short routes, such as Kosovo and North Macedonia in our system, do not offer the same travel experience. Read the start and end point of each day and check which days include long transfers.
How should you compare programs with flights and buses?
On a tour with flights, consider your transportation to the airport, the meeting time, baggage allowance, and transfers after landing. On a bus tour, remember that if the first night is spent on the road, it is not the same as a hotel night. Alongside the number of days in the title, check the number of nights spent in a hotel and the return time.
Choose your departure city first
A program departing from Istanbul does not automatically include transportation to the airport from other cities. Confirm the exact airport or bus meeting point on the product page. If you want to join with your own transportation or connect from another city, get a written offer before booking.
What is included in the price?
Evaluate the per-person price in a double room together with the single supplement, child conditions, and any additional payments. Meals, museum entries, city tours, and extra excursions do not fall under the same scope in every product. Compare starting prices with the same service scope.

Note the departure and return dates, the exact meeting point, the hotel name or category, included and excluded services, baggage information, and payment and cancellation conditions. Confirm the passport and entry requirements for the countries you will visit according to your own situation from official sources.
