1. Day ISTANBUL – LONDON
We meet three hours before departure at the international departures terminal of Istanbul New Airport. After baggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, our flight to London begins on Turkish Airlines scheduled service. Upon arrival in London, we meet our private vehicle waiting at the airport. On our panoramic city tour, the Houses of Parliament, BIG BEN Clock Tower, Westminster Bridge and Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Admiral Nelson Monument, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, and the River Thames are among the places that can be seen. 2. Day LONDON – GREENWICH – THAMES RIVER BOAT TOUR
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for the London tour. We will take a boat tour on the River Thames and see the British Museum, one of the world's largest and most important museums, from the outside. Our first stop will be Greenwich Town, where the Prime Meridian, according to which all the world’s clocks are set, is located. Greenwich was also an important royal center during the Tudor period. Then, we will take a one-hour boat tour on the River Thames and see London’s famous landmarks. Afterward, we will explore places such as Oxford Street, England’s famous shopping street, the well-known Soho district, Chinatown, and Piccadilly Circus, which is considered the center of the city. 3. Day LONDON – WINDSOR CASTLE – OXFORD – LIVERPOOL
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Oxford. On the way, we visit Windsor Castle. Windsor is the largest and oldest castle in the world. It has housed British monarchs since the 11th century.
Today, the palace is still in use, and the King of England spends some special weekends here. St. George’s Chapel, located within Windsor Castle, has hosted important events such as the royal family’s funerals, weddings, and coronation ceremonies. Many English kings and queens are buried in the chapel. The grave of Queen Elizabeth, the longest-reigning monarch in English history and recently passed away, is also here. After our visit to the castle, we begin our journey to Oxford, one of England’s richest cities in terms of culture and history. We explore Oxford, known as England’s university city and also the filming location of the legendary Harry Potter movies, on a panoramic tour. We start by discovering the magnificent buildings of the world-famous Oxford University. Iconic structures such as Radcliffe Camera, Bridge of Sighs, Sheldonian Theatre, and the Bodleian Library are among the places that can be seen. Then we head to Liverpool. 6. Day NEWCASTLE – EDINBURGH – ROYAL YACHT BRITANNIA – THE KELPIES – STIRLING – EDINBURGH
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Edinburgh. Upon arrival, we will take a panoramic Edinburgh city tour. Edinburgh is a fascinating city full of historical riches, enchanting views, and vibrant culture. We begin our tour at Edinburgh Castle, where we will explore the historical secrets and magnificent views of this iconic castle. Edinburgh Castle is built on a high hill in the city center, giving it magnificent panoramic views. From the castle, it is possible to see the center of Edinburgh as well as the Firth of Forth (Forth Bay) and the surrounding area from above. The castle also houses the Stone of Destiny, which is very important to Scottish history. It is the crowning stone of the Scottish throne. After being taken from Scotland in the 1950s, it was returned. It is now kept in the castle. Then, we will walk through Edinburgh’s medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see its historic streets, churches, and narrow passages. We can enjoy independent shops and traditional Scottish cuisine along the Royal Mile. Then, we proceed for the Royal Yacht Britannia tour. It is the royal yacht used by the British Royal Family between 1954 and 1997. Inside the ship, the royal family’s bedrooms, official dining room, lounge areas, crew living quarters, and the original engine room can be seen. The ship is also an important part of British maritime history with its elegant design. After our Edinburgh tour, we head to Falkirk for The Kelpies. The Kelpies are based on “kelpies,” water creatures from Scottish mythology. Kelpies are water monsters that can generally appear in the shape of a horse or a human. The Kelpies were built to honor these mysterious legends and water culture. The Kelpies consist of two sculptures, each 30 meters high and weighing 300 tons. With these enormous dimensions, they are considered the largest public art works in Scotland. After the Kelpies tour, we head to Stirling. Here we will visit Stirling Castle. Stirling Castle had great strategic importance during the Scottish Wars of Independence. The Scots’ victory in the Battle of Stirling Bridge against the English in 1297, led by William Wallace, made the castle a symbol of the Scottish independence struggle. At Stirling Castle, a large military barracks was built in the 19th century for use by the British army during the Napoleonic Wars. This barracks became an important base for military garrisons, and this building is still open to visitors; we will also see it. At the end of the tour, we head to Edinburgh.
