1. Day ISTANBUL – BOLOGNA – FLORENCE (MONTECATINI)
Meeting at Istanbul Airport, International Terminal, in front of the Turkish Airlines counter. Departure to Bologna with Turkish Airlines. Upon arrival at Bologna Airport local time, we proceed by private coach for a city tour of Florence. On our panoramic city tour, we begin by photographing Florence’s historic streets and squares, and conclude at Piazza della Repubblica. After a short break, those who wish may continue exploring Renaissance capital Florence, a UNESCO World Heritage site, step by step with our guide. In the afternoon, there is an optional extra tour, In the Footsteps of the Medicis: Renaissance Works (45€). In this tour, we will examine in detail Florence’s history and the life stories of Florentine artists and scientists who shaped the Renaissance, while visiting the city’s monumental works step by step. During the tour, we will see Palazzo Vecchio, where the Medici family ruled Florence; Piazza della Signoria, home to the Renaissance masterpieces Hercules and David; the Uffizi Art Gallery; the historic Ponte Vecchio, the city’s oldest bridge, and the Medici Corridor; the House of Dante Alighieri, the famous literary master of the 13th-century epic poem Divine Comedy; the Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore, which has the 3rd highest dome in Italy; and the Baptistery, famous for its “Gates of Paradise,” as well as Florence’s famous historic markets. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel.
2. Day FLORENCE (MONTECATINI)
After breakfast at the hotel, free day. Those who wish may join our guide for the Great Tuscany Tour (145€). On this tour, Pisa, San Gimignano, and Volterra are among the places to be seen. Pisa is famous for its Leaning Tower, considered one of the world’s most important historical monuments. During the panoramic visit, the Leaning Tower, cathedral, baptistery, and Miracoli Square will be visited, and our guests will have the opportunity to take photos in this historic city. San Gimignano, the “City of 13 Towers,” features the Cisterne Square, the central point of the city, built by rival noble families in the 12th and 13th centuries. Here, you can shop extensively at reasonable prices. Volterra is a medieval fortified town steeped in history and has also been featured in Hollywood films and series (Game of Thrones, Twilight Zone, etc.). With origins dating back to the Etruscan and Roman periods, this unique Tuscan town offers many attractions. During our Volterra visit, we will walk through its narrow medieval streets and squares, accompanied by magnificent views of the Tuscan Valley. Places to be seen include the Roman Theatre, remains of the forum area, Priori Square, the town’s main square, and the Volterra Cathedral built in the 12th century. During free time, you can taste cheese and the region’s famous wines from the small shops in town, and enjoy coffee at the historic cafés in the square. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel.
3. Day FLORENCE (MONTECATINI) – ROME
After breakfast, we leave the hotel and travel to Rome with our private vehicle and guide. Upon arrival, panoramic Rome city tour. During the tour, we view by bus the Vatican (St. Peter’s), Castel Sant’Angelo, the ruins of the Circo Massimo stadium from the ancient Roman period, and the streets from the Baroque period. After a short photo stop at the Colosseum, free time in the afternoon. In the evening, those who wish may join the optional Rome Night Tour (45€), where we will see the famous squares and stroll through the streets of Rome, spending an enjoyable time. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel.
4. Day ROME
After breakfast at the hotel, free day. Those who wish may join our guide for the optional Albano Lake & Nemi Roman Villages (Strawberry Village) & Castelli Romani Outlet (95€) tour. We visit the region of natural beauty where the Popes spent their summers, and the village of Nemi, famous for its wild strawberries. The tour continues at Castel Romano Designer Outlet, where you can shop among many famous brands. After this tour, later in the day those who wish may join the optional Rome Monuments and Masterpieces Tour (65€). In this tour, in the imperial city of Rome, which has shaped European civilization and bears witness to 23 centuries of history, we will see the ancient Pantheon Temple, Piazza Navona with its Baroque architecture and famous fountain, the Trevi Fountain, where legend says that anyone who throws a coin in will return to Rome, the Spanish Steps famous for street performers, Castel Sant’Angelo and its bridge, among the places to be seen. On this tour, where you will explore the city step by step with your guide, get ready to lose yourself in Rome’s ancient stories and historical atmosphere. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel.
5. Day ROME – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, transfer to the airport. Departure to Istanbul on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight, arrival in Istanbul local time, and end of the tour.
