1. Day ISTANBUL – KRAKOW
We begin our tour by meeting our guide at 09:10 at Istanbul New Airport International Departures Terminal. After ticketing and baggage procedures, we fly to Krakow on LOT Airlines scheduled flight LO140 at 12:10. Upon arrival in Krakow at 12:30 local time, we begin our panoramic city tour with Barbican Fortress. Passing through Florian Gate, where kings once entered the city, we head into the old town. Then, walking along Florianska Street, we reach the Old Town Square. Here, we see St. Mary’s Basilica, the statue of Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz, whose museum is located in Istanbul’s Dolapdere district, the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice), the Old Town Hall, and the statue by famous Polish sculptor Igor Mitoraj decorating the square, before continuing through Grodzka Street to Wawel Castle. After our visit to Wawel Castle, we also see the Dragon Statue located on the banks of the Vistula River and conclude our tour. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Check-in and overnight at our hotel.
2. Day KRAKOW | Auschwitz & Vistula River Boat Tour
After breakfast at our hotel, guests who wish may join the Auschwitz Concentration Camp tour, organized as an extra by our guide. We visit the Auschwitz–Birkenau Nazi camp, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where approximately 1.5 million Jews were systematically tortured and killed during World War II. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Guests who wish may join the optional 1-hour boat tour in the evening to view Krakow from the Vistula River. Overnight at the hotel.
3. Day KRAKOW – WARSAW | Wieliczka Salt Mine & Czestochowa & Chopin Concert
After breakfast at our hotel, we check out and hand over our room keys to reception. Guests who wish may join our visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, one of the oldest salt mines in the world, where the marriages of the kings of Poland were held, with origins dating back to the 13th century, and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After touring the salt mine, which has tunnels 327 m deep and a total accessible length of 3.5 km, we pick up the guests who did not join the tour and depart for Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Guests who wish may join the Czestochowa tour, arranged as an extra by our guide along the way. Czestochowa, known as Poland’s open-air museum, is a world-famous city that hosts the Pauline Monastery of Jasna Góra, home of the Black Madonna icon and the sanctuary of the Virgin Mary, welcoming around five million visitors each year. After the tour, we continue to Warsaw. Arrival in Warsaw and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. In the evening, guests who wish may attend the Chopin Concert organized as an extra by our guide.
4. Day WARSAW – ISTANBUL
After breakfast at our hotel, we check out and begin our panoramic Warsaw city tour. In this beautiful city, we see the Copernicus statue and walk along the Royal Route. Then we visit the Holy Cross Church, where Chopin’s heart is buried. Chopin died and was buried in Paris, but his heart was interred in this church in Warsaw, the city where he was born, preserved in cognac. On the pillar where his heart is buried, the following inscription stands out: “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Afterwards, we admire the colorful Krakowskie Przedmieście and the Old Town. We also see the rebuilt Royal Castle and gain information about the history of Warsaw and Poland through our guide’s explanations. In free time, you may spend time in the cafés of this stylish city. After the tour, transfer to the airport. After ticketing and baggage procedures, departure for Istanbul on LOT Airlines scheduled flight LO137 at 19:55. Arrival in Istanbul at 00:40 local time and end of our tour.
