Day 1: Istanbul – Barcelona
Meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport’s International Departures terminal 3 hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we will depart for Barcelona at 07:55 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1853. Arriving at 10:35 local time, our panoramic city tour begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and the vibrant and captivating capital of the Catalonia region, known worldwide. This magnificent city bathed in the warm waters of the Mediterranean offers a unique blend of history, art, culture, and entertainment. With its glorious architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and lively nightlife, Barcelona attracts millions of visitors every year. The city is like an open-air museum adorned with Antoni Gaudí's unique works. During our city tour, we will visit La Sagrada Familia Church, the Christopher Columbus Monument, Montjuic Hill, La Ramblas Street, Spain and Catalunya Squares, the Andalusian Arena, and the Olympic Port, among other sights. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Barcelona – Girona & Figueres (Dali Museum) – Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can participate in the optional tour "Gems of Northern Catalonia (Girona & Figueres & Dali Museum)" (70 Euro). Our first stop is Girona. Located in the northeast of Catalonia, about 100 kilometers north of Barcelona, Girona is a historical city famous for its medieval narrow streets, historic buildings, museums, churches, and walls. During our tour here, we will see the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call). After the tour, we will head towards the city of Figueres. Figueres, located northeast of Girona, is known as the birthplace of Salvador Dali. The city is closely related to the life and works of the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dali. The most important tourist attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dali Museum. Dali established this museum to leave something behind in the place where he was born and to showcase his works. This museum now houses the largest collection of Dali’s works and is referred to as Dali's greatest masterpiece since Dali designed every part of it. The museum features over 4,000 works created by Dali using various techniques. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel. In the evening, guests who wish can participate in the optional "Flamenco Fire" tour (55 Euro). Flamenco is considered an expression of emotion and passion and is an important part of Spain's cultural heritage. Both as a dance and music, flamenco offers the audience a vibrant and exciting experience. After enjoying your time here, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Barcelona – Park Guell & Gothic Quarter – Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish can attend the optional tour "Gaudi’s Magnificent Creation Park Guell & Gothic Quarter" (60 Euro). Our first stop is Park Guell. One of Antoni Gaudi’s magnificent works, Park Guell is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This park, referred to as the fairy-tale park, creates a magical atmosphere with its colorful stairs and imaginary pavilions. After visiting this magnificent work of Gaudi, our second stop is the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages with its narrow, labyrinthine streets, Gothic churches, and romantic squares, and admire the historical texture. Among the most important structures in the neighborhood are the Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, guests who wish can join the optional tour "Gorgeous Sitges" (40 Euro). Sitges is a charming coastal town located southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast. It is famous for its turquoise sea, beautiful beaches, and lively atmosphere, as well as being recognized for its art and cultural events, hosting many art galleries, museums, and festivals. Our journey will start from the magical stairs of the San Bartolome-Santa Tecla Cathedral, through its historical streets. This cathedral from the 17th century rises atop the remains of ancient Romanesque and Gothic churches. After admiring this magnificent cathedral, we will proceed to the historical streets of Sitges, where the town’s center from the Middle Ages stands alongside the exquisite examples of Modernism, such as the Maricel Palace and Museum, making it a paradise for collectors. Right across is the Cau Ferrat Museum, the home of Santiago Rusiñol, one of the leaders of the modernist movement in Catalonia. He played a significant role in making Sitges well-known when he began displaying his paintings here. After exploring the colorful houses and charming bars in the narrow streets of Sitges, host to thousands during the annual Sitges Festival, we will head to the beach to spend the remainder of the day relaxing like the locals. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Barcelona – Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport at the time determined by the guide. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we will depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1854 at 12:00. Arriving at 16:35 local time, the tour ends.
