Day 1 Izmir – Dortmund – Amsterdam
Meeting 3 hours before departure at SunExpress Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Dortmund at 05:00 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ936. Upon arrival at 07:20 local time, our Dortmund city tour begins with our waiting vehicle. Dortmund is a vibrant city that blends its industrial heritage with modern life in Germany’s Ruhr region. With its wide parks, cultural centers, and especially the strong football atmosphere associated with Borussia Dortmund, it offers both a calm and energetic city experience. During our panoramic city tour, we will see Alter Markt, considered the heart of the city, Altes Stadthaus (Old Town Hall), St. Reinold's Church (Reinoldikirche), which bears traces from the Middle Ages with its Gothic architecture, and Westfalenpark.
Then we depart for Amsterdam. Upon arrival, our Amsterdam city tour begins. During our city tour in Amsterdam, we will see Dam Square, Central Station, the National Monument, the Royal Palace, the Flower Market, and the Red Light District. Day 2 Amsterdam – Zaanse Schans – Marken – Volendam – Giethoorn – Amsterdam
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Fairytale Villages and Water Canals tour (Zaanse Schans & Marken & Volendam & Giethoorn Hobbit Village). (110 Euro) Our tour begins with Zaanse Schans. One of the hidden gems of the Netherlands, Zaanse Schans is famous for its old historic windmills that date back to the 17th century and still operate, as well as its untouched nature. With its historic windmills and wooden houses, Zaanse Schans is a place of unmatched beauty where you will feel as if you are walking through an open-air museum. Our second stop is Marken. After exploring this amazing island, which used to be an island but was later connected to the mainland by filling in the gap, we head to Volendam. Volendam, with its harbor, characteristic Dutch houses, and people in traditional clothing, is a place that immediately captivates visitors. After enjoying delicious seafood and cheeses and shopping for inexpensive souvenirs in this town, our final stop is Giethoorn Hobbit Village. Considered one of the most beautiful places in the world, Giethoorn is one of Europe’s most fairy-tale-like destinations. Day 3 Amsterdam – Bruges – Ghent – Brussels
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Brussels. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Cities Bruges & Ghent tour. (90 Euro) Our first stop is the stunningly beautiful Bruges. Today, Bruges is among the most visited cities in Europe and was placed under UNESCO protection in 1991. With its medieval architecture, canals, narrow streets, bridges, historic buildings, and squares, it has become one of Europe’s favorites. After touring this beautiful city, we proceed to Ghent, another city where time seems to stand still. With a history of 1,400 years, Ghent was built where the Scheldt and Lys rivers meet and was one of the largest and richest cities in the Middle Ages. Famous for its medieval monuments and university, we continue to Brussels after our tour. Brussels, one of the most striking stops on Benelux tours, stands out with its diversity. Thanks to its cosmopolitan structure, the city offers visitors many different experiences, and we will visit many valuable landmarks. Upon arrival, we will see the Royal Palace, Chinese and Japanese Houses, Brussels Cathedral, the city square, the Stock Exchange Building, the Atomium Monument, and the Manneken Pis Statue. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Overnight in Brussels or nearby.
Day 4 Brussels – Paris
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Paris, one of the most romantic cities in the world. Upon arrival in Paris, we will see Charles de Gaulle and the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, the Louvre Museum and Pyramid, Etoile Square, the Grand Palais and Petit Palais Exhibition Halls, Concorde Square and the Obelisk, the French Parliament Building, the Alexandre III Bridge, the Seine River, Napoleon’s Tomb, and the Eiffel Tower. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. In the evening, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Paris by Night tour. (35 Euro) Paris is beautiful both by day and by night. On this tour, you will have the chance to see Champs Elysees, Concorde Square, the Louvre Museum, and many more boulevards, buildings, and squares illuminated at night. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight in Paris or nearby.
Day 5 Paris
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Paris Masterpieces & Seine River Cruise tour (Eiffel Tower & Seine River Boat Tour & Montmartre Painters’ Hill & Sacré-Cœur Basilica & Notre Dame Cathedral). (110 Euro) Our first stop is the Eiffel Tower, the city’s iconic landmark visited by millions of tourists every year. You will have the chance to go up to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower and see Paris from above. Then we take a boat tour on the Seine River, which divides Paris into two. After seeing the historic landmarks along both sides of the river, we head by cable car to Montmartre Hill, the highest hill in Paris. The first place to see on this hill, where the traces of important artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Dalida, Vincent van Gogh, and Jean Marais can be found, is Sacré-Cœur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart). After seeing this structure up close, we take a break at Tertre Square, where you can shop and have your portrait drawn, and then visit Notre Dame Cathedral, a symbol of French history and an indispensable part of the Paris skyline. Notre Dame Cathedral was built on the orders of King Louis VII, who ruled between 1137 and 1180, to show the political, economic, and cultural power of Paris to the world. After seeing this magnificent structure, we take a short photo break. Then transfer to our hotel. Overnight in Paris or nearby.
Day 6 Paris – Luxembourg
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Luxembourg. Upon arrival, our Luxembourg city tour begins. Notre Dame Cathedral, the Ducal Palace, City Hall, and Constitution Square are among the places to be seen. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent History and Mosaics tour (Trier & Remich & Schengen). (65 Euro) Our first stop is Trier, founded by the Romans in 15 BC and considered the oldest city in Germany. Located in the Moselle Wine Region among low red sandstone hills covered with vines along the Moselle River, the city tour in Trier will include Porta Nigra, the largest Roman city gate standing north of the Alps, Roman remains listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, St. Peter’s Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady, Constantine’s Basilica, and the house where Karl Marx, the revolutionary thinker and father of scientific socialism, was born. After Trier, we head to Remich, a tax-free town where you can find the cheapest shopping during our tour. Due to Luxembourg’s low tax policies and border location, you can buy products such as chocolate, coffee, and alcoholic beverages quite cheaply here. Finally, we visit Schengen, where the borders of Germany, France, and Luxembourg meet, and where the agreement that abolished passport controls between European Union member states for free movement was signed. In this village, one of Europe’s important wine regions, you will have the opportunity to taste local wines and see the Monument and building where the Schengen Agreement was signed. Day 7 Luxembourg – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Strasbourg, one of France’s most beautiful cities and the pearl of the Alsace region. As you explore Strasbourg, you will feel as if you are traveling back in time through Europe’s largest medieval district paved with cobblestones. With its fairytale-like nature and historic buildings, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and many works of art, it is a place well worth seeing. Also historically significant as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, Strasbourg appears as a city where Alsace culture blends with French architecture. During our city tour, we will see Strasbourg Cathedral, the Rohan Palace, Place Kléber, and the Petit France district decorated with traditional Alsace houses. After the tour, guests who wish may join the Magnificent Fairytale Villages of Alsace tour (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr). (110 Euro) In this tour, where we will want to take photos at every opportunity from start to finish, our first visit will be Eguisheim. In 2013, it was named “Favorite French Village,” and Eguisheim is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region create Eguisheim’s postcard-like appearance. After the tour, we head to Colmar, famous for its medieval buildings, Gothic-style churches, and colorful houses. While walking through Colmar’s remarkably well-preserved streets, you will see St. Martin’s Cathedral, built entirely of pink stone, Little Venice, which resembles Venice in Italy with its small canals, Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses, and Maison des Têtes, a Renaissance building adorned with faces. Our third stop is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a charming part of the Alsace region, a medieval town in France. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historical atmosphere. In particular, the 13th-century Château de Kaysersberg castle is one of the town’s most distinctive landmarks. Sainte-Croix Church in the town center also draws attention with its Gothic architecture. After the tour, our final stop is Riquewihr, one of Alsace’s most enchanting towns, known for its many half-timbered houses that add to its charm. This historic village captivates visitors with its old houses decorated with colorful flowers, narrow streets, and medieval atmosphere surrounded by walls. During the tour, we will also see the ruins of Riquewihr Castle and walk along the old walls of the village to experience the medieval atmosphere. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight in Strasbourg or nearby.
Day 8 Strasbourg – Basel – Izmir
After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and depart for Basel. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Basel is the third most populous city in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva, and it is a magnificent city that contains both modern and historic elements, small in area but rich in treasures. During the city tour, we will see Basel Cathedral, where the grave of the famous Renaissance writer Erasmus of Rotterdam is located, Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Rois. After the tour, we head to Basel Airport. Following baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Istanbul at 14:15 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ913. Arrival in Izmir at 19:10 local time and the end of the tour.
