Day 1 Izmir – Frankfurt – Strasbourg
Meet 3 hours before departure at the SunExpress Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Frankfurt on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 910 at 07:05. Upon arrival in Frankfurt at 08:35 local time, depart for Strasbourg by our waiting vehicle. While touring Strasbourg, one of the most beautiful cities in France and the pearl of the Alsace region, you will feel as if you are traveling back in time through Europe’s largest cobblestone medieval quarter. With its fairytale-like nature and historical structures, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and many works of art, it is truly a place worth seeing. Strasbourg also has historical significance as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, and it appears as a city where Alsace culture and French architecture are blended together. During our city tour, Strasbourg Cathedral, the Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the Petit France district decorated with traditional Alsace houses will be among the places to see. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Tour of the Fairytale Villages of Alsace (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr). (110 Euro) In this tour, where you will want to take photos at every opportunity, our first stop will be Eguisheim. Awarded the title of “Favorite French Village” in 2013, Eguisheim is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region create Eguisheim’s postcard view. After the tour, we head to Colmar, famous for its historic buildings from the Middle Ages, Gothic-style churches, and colorful houses. As we walk through Colmar’s remarkably well-preserved streets, places to see include St. Martin’s Cathedral, built entirely of pink stone, Little Venice, which resembles Italy’s Venice with its small canals, Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses, and Maison des Tetes, a Renaissance building decorated with many faces. Our third stop on the tour is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a charming part of the Alsace region, a medieval town in France. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historical atmosphere. In particular, the 13th-century Château de Kaysersberg castle is one of the town’s most prominent landmarks. Sainte-Croix Church in the center of the town also stands out with its Gothic architecture. After that, our final stop is Riquewihr, one of Alsace’s most enchanting towns, with many half-timbered houses that give the town its charm. This historic village captivates visitors with its old houses decorated with colorful flowers, narrow streets, and medieval atmosphere surrounded by walls. On our tour, we will also see the ruins of Riquewihr Castle and walk along the old ramparts of the village to feel the medieval atmosphere. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Strasbourg. Overnight at our hotel in Strasbourg or the surrounding area.
Day 2 Strasbourg – Heidelberg – Baden Baden – Outlet Center – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Tour of the Grand Germany Duo (Heidelberg & Baden Baden & Outlet Center). (110 Euro) Our first stop on the tour is Heidelberg. The streets, squares, and buildings of this city make you feel the Middle Ages in every corner and take you on a journey through time. A calm, elegant, and refined city, Heidelberg welcomes you with the harmony of architecture and colors. During our city tour here, Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle will be among the places to see. After the tour, our second stop is Baden Baden, a paradise of oxygen surrounded by nature, a cultural and artistic center, with thermal spas and even one of Europe’s most famous casinos, among many other attractions. After visiting Baden Baden, a unique travel route that has inspired many famous writers and composers, we give free time at an outlet center where many famous brands are gathered. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 Strasbourg – Schaffhausen Rhine Falls – Zurich – Lucerne – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Tour of Schaffhausen Rhine Falls and Swiss Cities (Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne). (130 Euro) Our first stop on the tour is the natural wonder Rhine Falls, which holds the title of Europe’s largest waterfall with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. This place, embraced by the powerful branches of the Rhine River, is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the deep blue waters. After a fascinating walk with the power of the water and the impressive scenery, our second stop is Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland, which welcomes millions of visitors every year with its historic center, eye-catching Gothic-style churches, and historic buildings. After seeing the Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, home to Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping avenue. After the tour, we head to Lucerne, a historic city located in the central part of Switzerland at the foot of the Alps. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we end our tour and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in Strasbourg or the surrounding area.
Day 4 Strasbourg – Basel – Izmir
After breakfast, we check out of the rooms and depart for Basel, as indicated by our guide. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Basel, the third most populous city in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that combines both modern and historical textures and, although small in area, contains many treasures. During our city tour here, the Basel Cathedral, where the grave of the famous Renaissance writer Erasmus of Rotterdam is located, Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Rois will be among the places to see. After the tour, transfer to Basel Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Izmir on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 913 at 14:15. Arrival at 19:10 local time and end of the tour.
