Day 1: Ankara – Madrid
Meeting at the Jet Airlines check-in counter at Ankara Esenboğa Airport's International Departures Terminal 3 hours before the flight. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Madrid on Jet Airlines flight VF 607 at 07:50. Arrival at 10:25 local time, followed by a panoramic city tour with our vehicle waiting at the airport. The capital of Spain, Madrid is among the most visited cities in Spain due to its rich historical and cultural heritage. During our city tour, we will be visiting the Bullfighting Arena (from the outside), Alcala Gate and Independence Square, the Cibeles Monument, the famous street Gran Via, Bernabeu Stadium, Plaza Castilla, Atocha Train Station, the famous Prado Museum (from the outside), the statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza in Plaza de España, the Royal Palace (from the outside), the nine-gated Plaza Mayor, and Sol Square. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Madrid – Toledo – Sevilla – Ecija
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Sevilla. On the way, guests who wish can participate in the extra "Magnificent Toledo Tour" (70 Euro). Toledo, located about 70 kilometers from Madrid, is a historical city recognized by UNESCO for hosting various cultures including Roman, Visigoth, Muslim, and Christian civilizations. Renowned for its medieval architecture and cultural heritage, we will explore the narrow streets of this open-air museum, viewing Spain's oldest cathedral, the Toledo Cathedral (from the outside), churches transformed from Andalusian mosques, and many other wonders. Next stop is Sevilla, known for its historical and cultural richness in the Andalusia region. During our city tour in Sevilla, we first visit Maria Luisa Park, including Plaza de Espana and Plaza America, as well as the world’s largest third cathedral, Sevilla Cathedral (from the outside), and the Giralda Tower, a remnant from the mosque on which the cathedral was built. We will also see Alcazar (from the outside), the Archives of the Indies, and we will stroll through the old narrow streets of the Santa Cruz neighborhood known as "Old Sevilla". After our exploration, we will visit Torre del Oro, an old tobacco factory and now a maritime museum. After the tour, we move on to Ecija. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Ecija, located in southern Spain in the Andalusian region and belonging to the province of Sevilla, is known as the "Peacock of Andalusia" or the "City of Towers" due to its rich Baroque architecture and magnificent historical buildings. The city, previously called "Astigi" during the Roman period, was a significant center in the Hispania Ulterior province. In Ecija today, you can feel a historical atmosphere filled with elegant palaces, churches, and tall bell towers from the Baroque period while walking through its narrow streets. The Santa María and San Juan churches, dating back to the 18th century, are among the finest examples of Baroque art. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Ecija – Cordoba – Mijas – Malaga – Ecija
After breakfast at the hotel, those wishing can participate in the extra "Magnificent Cities (Cordoba & Mijas & Malaga)" tour (140 Euro). Cordoba is a historical city in the Andalusian region of Spain, famous for its historical and cultural riches, impressive architecture, and the traces of Andalusian Islamic culture. After a 1.5-hour journey, we will be greeted by the Guadalquivir River as we arrive. Crossing the historic Roman bridge and passing the Roman gate, we enter the city. The most magnificent structure of this 2000-year-old city, the Great Mosque of Cordoba, stands on 850 columns, and we will witness its grandeur with our guide while receiving informative insights. After our tour of the Mosque, we will continue walking through the city’s beautiful old streets to see the old inn and Cordoba's houses, reflecting the intricacies of Andalusian architecture. Our second stop is Mijas, a charming and traditional mountain village in the province of Malaga in southern Spain, known for its whitewashed houses. Located near the Costa del Sol, Mijas offers both sea views and historical charm. Mijas Pueblo, the town’s historical section, presents a postcard-like image with its narrow streets, flower-adorned balconies, and whitewashed houses. Although Mijas has roots dating back to Ancient Rome and even the Phoenicians, its current character has largely been shaped during the Muslim rule in Andalusia. Among its prominent features are a tiny bullfighting arena and the remnants of Mijas Castle. After our tour of Mijas, we move on to Malaga, the birthplace of the famous painter Pablo Picasso. During our tour, we will see Paseo de Parque, Plaza de la Merced, the Jewish Quarter, Constitution Square, Larios Street, Puerto Marina, and La Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle. Day 4: Ecija – Granada
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off towards Granada. Upon arrival in Granada, we begin our city tour. Granada, located in the heart of the Andalusian region, is a city full of history and culture, known for its historical heritage, music and dance, breathtaking views, and the Alhambra Palace. As one of the foremost tourist destinations in Spain, Granada attracts millions of visitors each year. During our city tour, we will visit Gran Via Street, BibRambla and the Town Hall Squares, Granada Cathedral (from the outside), the city’s first university Madraza, the Silk Market and the old Nasrid Caravanserai. After this tour, those who wish can participate in the extra "Magnificent Alhambra Palace Tour" (80 Euro). The Alhambra Palace, one of Granada's greatest treasures, is one of the most dazzling and impressive examples of Andalusian Islamic architecture, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This famous structure was started in the 13th century on Sabika Hill, overlooking Grenada, built as a defense castle and palace, with construction continuing into the 15th century. Named "Alhambra," meaning "Red", due to the red soil used in its construction, we will visit the site (subject to availability, excluding the harem part). After our tour, we return to the hotel. In the evening, guests can join the extra “Magnificent Neighborhoods (Albaicin and Sacromonte Gypsy Neighborhood)” tour (60 Euro). Albaicin is a fascinating historical neighborhood in Granada, known for its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and scenic hills, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This area reflects the traces of Andalusian Islamic culture and architecture and represents the history of Granada. After the tour, we will watch a Gipsy show in handmade caves, accompanied by a drink. After the tour, we return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Granada – Valencia – Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Valencia. Valencia, located on Spain's east coast and surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean, is a historical and modern city. As the third-largest city in Spain, Valencia attracts visitors with its rich history, culture, and art. Upon arrival, we will begin our city tour, visiting the City Hall, Gothic Cathedral, Arena, Arts and Sciences Museum, Historical Market Mercado Central, and the Old Silk Exchange. After the tour, we move on to Barcelona. Upon arrival in Barcelona, our city tour begins. Barcelona is the second-largest city in Spain and the vibrant and enchanting capital of Catalonia, recognized worldwide. Bathed in the warm waters of the Mediterranean, this magnificent city offers an unparalleled blend of history, art, culture, and entertainment. Barcelona attracts millions of visitors each year with its splendid architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and lively nightlife. This beautiful city is like an open-air museum decorated with the unique works of Antoni Gaudi. During our city tour, we will see the Sagrada Familia Church, Columbus Monument, La Ramblas Street, Spain and Catalunya Squares, and the Bullring of Andalusia, among others. Day 6: Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, those who wish can participate in the extra "Magnificent Poble Espanyol & Montjuic Hill" tour (30 Euro). We start our tour with Poble Espanyol, built for the 1929 World Fair and now a must-visit spot in Barcelona. Here, we will walk through 117 buildings, streets, and squares that showcase examples from all regions of Spain, explore unique handicraft workshops, and embark on a short journey through all of Spain. Poble Espanyol also hosts craftsmen working in ceramics, glass, leather, jewelry, and other arts and crafts. Next, we will ascend Montjuic Hill, which offers more than just a panoramic view of Barcelona. This area has undergone a transformation, hosting significant events such as the 1992 Olympic Games. After a photo stop, guests can join the extra "Gems of Catalonia (Girona & Figueras & Dali Museum & Park Guell & Gothic Quarter)" tour (120 Euro). Our first stop will be Girona, a historic town located about 100 kilometers north of Barcelona, known for its narrow medieval streets, historical buildings, museums, churches, and walls. Day 7: Barcelona – Ankara
After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the airport at the time determined by the guide. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we will depart for Ankara on Jet Airlines flight VF 608 at 15:25. Arrival at 18:25 local time, concluding our tour.
