İstanbul Airport, after arriving at the International Terminal 3 hours before departure and completing baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control, we fly to Basel at 07:40 with Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK1923. After arriving at Basel Airport at 09:45 local time, we continue to Strasbourg by our private vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Strasbourg, located at the border of Germany, Switzerland, and France and the largest city in the Alsace region, welcomes us like a fairytale, with the beauty of a painting. During our panoramic city tour on foot in Strasbourg’s car-free center and streets, which was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1988 and has hosted the European Parliament since 1992, we will see Gutenberg Square and Statue, Notre Dame Cathedral, the city’s most important structure located right in the heart of the city, and Kammerzell House, the city’s oldest building, which still serves as a hotel and restaurant today. After free time in Strasbourg, we depart for Freiburg, one of the best examples of green urbanism. In Freiburg, the city of happy people, where only low-carbon-emission vehicles have been allowed to enter since 2010 and transportation is mainly provided by tram and bicycle, it is possible to see traces of the historical and architectural cultures of Germany, France, Austria, Spain, and Sweden, which have ruled over the city throughout history. During our city tour in Freiburg, also known as the capital of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), we will see the city’s most important symbol, Freiburg Cathedral, the charming streets with Freiburg’s unique small water canals, Martin’s Tor, a medieval gate, and Rathausplatz. ALSACE – HEIDI’S VILLAGES – (Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour) – MILAN After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we begin our panoramic journey through the landscapes of Heidi’s Villages, filled with endless mountains and green meadows in the Alps, home to our beloved childhood character Heidi, who lived with her grandfather and close friend Peter. Then we head to Milan. Along the way, guests who wish may join the optional Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour (65 Euro). Our first stop on this tour is Como. Upon arrival in Como, we visit Lake Como, famous for its luxury lifestyle and natural beauty, home to the summer residences of Hollywood celebrities, European wealthy elites, and the world jet set, and we take a photo break with the lake’s unique scenery. After free time in Como, we head to Milan city center for the second part of the tour. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, is also notable for its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although known as Italy’s business and finance capital, it is also the right place for shopping and dining. During our city tour in Milan, main sights include the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano. At the end of the Milan Masterpieces Tour, transfer to our hotel. Accommodation in rooms and free time to rest. MILAN – ST. MORITZ – BERNINA EXPRESS / RED TRAIN – MILAN After breakfast, we depart for St. Moritz for the unforgettable and dreamlike train journey on the Bernina railway line. Upon arrival in St. Moritz, Switzerland’s natural wonder and favorite destination of the jet set, we may have free time and a short local tour depending on the train departure time on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Bernina railway line, before reaching the station for the Bernina Express / Red Train journey. Built between 1898 and 1904, this world-famous line is now on the UNESCO World Heritage List and fills the dreams of many travel enthusiasts. During this fairytale journey, we will witness and photograph extraordinary landscapes. After approximately 2 hours of pleasant train travel, we arrive at Tirano Station and return to our Milan region hotel with our waiting vehicle. MILAN – OUTLET – (Portofino Tour by Boat) – NICE After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for our outlet center visit. After free time for enjoyable and affordable shopping at the famous outlet center, home to prestigious stores, cafes and restaurants, and personal activity areas in Italy, which shapes the world fashion trend, we complete the tour and head to Nice. Along the way, guests who wish may join the optional Portofino Tour by Boat (65 Euro). Portofino, surrounded by colorful houses and inspiring songs with all its beauty, enchants visitors with its narrow streets, colorful houses, green hills, and turquoise Mediterranean scenery. After our Portofino visit, we continue our journey to Nice. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Nice region, accommodation in rooms and free time to rest. NICE – (Cannes & Nice Tour) – (Eze & Monaco & Monte Carlo Tour) After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Cannes & Nice Tour (70 Euro). On this tour, we first head to Cannes. Famous for hosting the annual Cannes Film Festival, Cannes has a sparkling sea and golden beaches. During our city tour in Cannes, we first see the old town, the city’s first settlement. While walking through its narrow, winding, and traffic-free streets, we will have the chance to see souvenir shops and shop. After our visit to La Croisette Boulevard, which runs along the Cannes coast and hosts many luxury restaurants, shops, and hotels, and Meynadier Street, we enjoy free time before arriving in Nice. On our Nice tour, sights include Promenade des Anglais, Nice Port, Massena Square, Flower Market, and the Courthouse. During free time after our Nice tour, guests who wish may join the optional Eze & Monaco & Monte Carlo Tour (80 Euro). Afterward, our second stop is the principality of Monaco, the world’s smallest state after Vatican City, located on the French Riviera, and upon arrival we will conduct a panoramic city tour of Monte Carlo, the center of luxury and splendor. After the tour, we return to our hotel in the Nice region. NICE – (Annecy Tour) – GENEVA After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Geneva. During our journey through magnificent natural scenery, with views of Mont Blanc, the peak of the Alps known as the roof of Europe, along the shared border of France, Switzerland, and Italy, guests who wish may join the optional Annecy Tour (50 Euro). Known as the “Venice of the Alps” thanks to the canals and the Thiou River running through it, Annecy fascinates visitors with its canal-based structure and extraordinary location between mountains and lake. During our visit, the Château d’Annecy, built in the 17th century and restored in 1947, St. Maurice Church, and the Palais de l’Isle, a favorite spot for photographers, will be seen panoramically. After a short free time on the shores of Annecy Lake, the third largest lake in France, we complete the tour and continue our journey to Geneva. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Geneva region, accommodation in rooms and free time to rest. GENEVA – (LOZANNE & MONTREUX AND FAIRY-TALE CASTLES TOUR BY GOLDEN PASS Express Train) – (Gruyères Tour) – BERN – ALSACE / BASEL After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we conduct our city tour. Known as “the French side of Switzerland” and located on the shores of Lake Geneva, Geneva is a magnificent city where history, culture, science, and nature come together. The presence of international organizations such as CERN, the World Health Organization, UEFA, FIFA, and the United Nations headquarters gives Geneva a central position culturally and administratively. During our tour of Geneva, where museums, parks, historic monuments and streets, and fresh air come together, main sights include St. Pierre Cathedral, the Jet d’Eau fountain, which has become a symbol of Geneva and rises up to 140 meters, and the Reformation Wall. After the city tour, we head to Bern. Along the way, guests who wish may join the optional GoldenPass Express Train Lausanne & Montreux and Fairy-Tale Castles Tour (95 Euro). Our first stop is Lausanne, which holds an important place in our national history because it hosted the signing of the Lausanne Treaty on 24 July 1923, and is also one of the important episcopal centers of the Middle Ages. After our panoramic tour in Lausanne, with its medieval castles, Château d’Ouchy, palaces, cathedrals, and museum buildings, all of which increase its appeal thanks to its location on the shore of Lake Geneva, we move on to Montreux. Montreux, also well known in our national history, is important for the music world as well, not only because of its historic castles such as Chillon and Blonay, its historic buildings and natural beauty, but also because of a statue of Freddie Mercury. After our panoramic tour in Montreux, we set out on a unique journey through the Swiss Alps with the GOLDENPASS Express. Starting in Montreux, our train journey offers postcard-worthy lake views and mountain silhouettes. After this breathtaking journey through nature, which ends near Gruyères, we continue to Bern. Along the way, guests who wish may join the optional Gruyères Tour (40 Euro). Selected as Switzerland’s most beautiful village in 2014, Gruyères is the homeland of the world-famous Gruyère cheese, preserving its medieval character without alteration to this day. Named after the region and its world-famous cheese, this fairytale village is decorated with flowers and is famous for both cheese and the Swiss specialty fondue. Located on a hill at an altitude of 800 meters in the upper valley of the Saane River and free of vehicle traffic, Gruyères offers a panoramic tour, after which we complete the tour and arrive in Bern. Bern is one of the few cities in Europe that has remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical fabric, it is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Located within Switzerland and with German as its official language, Bern also reflects German culture in its architecture. After our city tour in Bern, we head to our hotel in the Alsace / Basel region. Upon arrival at the hotel, accommodation in rooms and free time to rest. ALSACE / BASEL – (Alsace Pearls: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour) – ISTANBUL After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we head to Basel Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. Along the way, guests who wish may join the optional Alsace Pearls: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour (80 Euro). On this tour, we first visit the fairytale town of Colmar, where we will see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the most famous part of the city, Petite Venise (Little Venice), with its colorful houses around the Rhine River. In this unique setting surrounded by the Rhine River and canals, you will have the chance to enjoy many delicious foods as well as buy various souvenirs. Our next destination is Riquewihr, famous for its vineyards, flower-filled balconies, unique rows of shops, cobbled pedestrian streets, buildings that escaped damage during World War II, and charming cafes, with its tower that houses the Dolder Museum, which documents the city’s story, making it feel straight out of a Grimm fairy tale. After our visit to Riquewihr, we continue our journey to Basel Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control, we fly to Istanbul at 19:00 with Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK1926. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 23:05 local time and end of the tour.
