From there, we head to Marken, a village located on a small island. While walking through the village, we will visit a “Marken House” overlooking the Marken harbor. In the village, we will also visit a shop where the making of Dutch cultural heritage wooden clogs is demonstrated and hundreds of colorful clogs are sold. Then we head to Giethoorn, known as the “Venice of the Netherlands.” This village, with its narrow canals and lush green surroundings, resembles a postcard and a movie set adapted from fairy tales; as we explore Giethoorn by boats (subject to availability) and along its paths, we will feel in a truly extraordinary environment.
