Day 1 ISTANBUL – ROME Gather at Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal in front of the Turkish Airlines counter. After baggage and ticket procedures, depart for Rome. Upon arrival in Rome at local time, we proceed with our private vehicle and guide to Rome. After arrival, panoramic Rome city tour. During our tour, we view by bus in a panoramic way the Vatican (San Pietro), Castel Sant’Angelo, the ruins of the Circus Maximus stadium from the ancient Roman period, and the Baroque-era streets, which are among the city’s most valuable treasures. A short photo stop will be given at the Colosseum, and after the tour there will be free time in the afternoon. In the evening, those who wish may join the extra Rome Night Tour (45€), where we will see famous squares we have not seen before in Rome and enjoy a pleasant time walking through its streets. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel. Day 2 ROME After breakfast at the hotel, free day. For those who wish, we will depart with our guide for the extra Albano Lake & Nemi Roman Villages (Strawberry Village) & Castelli Romani Outlet Tour (95€). We visit the region where the popes spent their summer months, with its natural beauty, and the Nemi village, famous for its wild strawberries that make you want to live there permanently. Happy New Year… Day 3 ROME – FLORENCE (MONTECATINI) After breakfast, we depart for Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, our panoramic city tour begins by photographing the historic streets and squares of the city, ending at Piazza della Repubblica (Republic Square). After a short break, we continue to explore Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and a UNESCO World Heritage site, step by step with our guide for those who wish. In the afternoon, there is an opportunity to join the extra Medici’s Footsteps Renaissance Works Tour (45€). In this tour, we will examine in detail the history of Florence and the lives of Florentine artists and scientists who shaped the Renaissance, while exploring the monuments of this historic city step by step. During the tour, we will see Palazzo Vecchio, where the Medici family ruled in Florence; Piazza della Signoria, home to the Hercules and David statues, one of the masterpieces of the Renaissance; the Uffizi Art Gallery; Ponte Vecchio, the city’s oldest bridge, and the Medici Corridor; the house of Dante Alighieri, the famous literary master and author of the epic poem Divine Comedy in the 13th century; the Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore, with the 3rd tallest dome in Italy; the Baptistery famous for its “Gate of Paradise”; and Florence’s famous historic markets. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel. Day 4 FLORENCE (MONTECATINI) After breakfast, free day. Those who wish may join the extra Great Tuscany Tour (145€). In this tour, the places to be seen include Siena, San Gimignano, and Volterra. San Gimignano, the City of 13 Towers, is visited through Cisterne Square, which is considered the center of the city built by rival noble families in the 12th and 13th centuries. There will be plenty of shopping opportunities here at reasonable prices. Siena is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and one of the most important museum-cities, famous for its narrow streets from the Middle Ages, small avenues, and Campo Square, considered one of the largest squares in Europe. Other places to be seen include Siena Cathedral and Palazzo Publico (City Hall). Here, we will also have the opportunity to enjoy delicious food and taste some of Tuscany’s lovely local beverages. Volterra, a medieval walled town where history can be felt in every corner, has also been featured in Hollywood films. This unique Tuscan town, whose history goes back to the Etruscans and Rome, offers many possibilities to visitors. During our Volterra visit, we will walk through its narrow medieval streets and squares accompanied by magnificent views of the Tuscan Valley. Among the sights are the Roman Theatre, the remains of the forum area, Priori Square, the main square of the town, and the Volterra Cathedral built in the 12th century. During free time, you may taste cheese and famous wines from the town’s small shops and sip coffee in the historic cafés around the square. After the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 5 FLORENCE – BOLOGNA – ISTANBUL After breakfast, check out of the rooms and free time. Those who wish may join the extra Tuscany Bella Pisa & Lucca Tour (95€). Pisa is famous for its Leaning Tower, considered one of the most important historical monuments in the world. During our tour, we will visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the cathedral, the baptistery, and Miracle Square, and those who wish may take photos in this historic city. Lucca is an Italian city in the north of Italy, built on the plain along the Ligurian Sea coast, through which the Serchio River passes. This well-preserved city, dating from the Renaissance period, is famous for its walls. Once inside the walls, you will find historic streets planned in 180 B.C., with medieval buildings and, beneath them, restaurants, souvenir shops, and gourmet stores. After the tour, transfer to the airport. Depart for Istanbul on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Arrival in Istanbul at local time and end of our tour.
