Our ship will dock at the port of Marseille at 08:30. Free time in the morning for breakfast, shopping and personal activities. Our second stop is Sidi Bou Said, the picturesque village on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, where we will enjoy a pleasant walk through its winding, cobbled streets. Its white walls, contrasting sky-blue doors and ornate window grilles will remind you of Greece and Bodrum. After free time, we return to Palermo for a city tour. Then we visit the Monreale Abbey, where you will see the mosaic decoration of 6,340 m² depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments. This full-day tour begins with a 1 hour 15 minute journey by our bus waiting for us at the Civitavecchia port to Rome, where we take a panoramic bus tour. Sights include Castel Sant'Angelo, the Tiber River, Villa Borghese Park, Via Veneto, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza della Repubblica, Via Nazionale, the Theatre of Marcellus, the Circus Maximus and the Forum areas. Then we explore Rome's famous squares on foot. Sights include Piazza della Rotonda (Pantheon), Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, where we end the tour and take a shopping break. At the end of the tour we return to our ship.
