DAY 1: ISTANBUL AIRPORT – CATANIA – ETNA Meeting with our valued guests at 04:15 in front of Turkish Airlines international departures F counters (counters 1–27), entering through Gate 3 at Istanbul Airport, and check-in procedures. Departure to Catania at 08:10 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1393. Arrival in Catania at 08:35 local time. We will be met by our vehicle and begin our panoramic tour. Afterwards, we start our Etna tour. As we head toward Etna, we will have the opportunity to take magnificent photos of Mount Etna, which embraces us with its vegetation and scenery. Along the way, we will see the Silvestri Crater, the second crater at an altitude of 1,800 meters, on Etna, Europe’s highest active volcanic mountain. Don’t forget to take a souvenir of the smoke-rising rock fragments! Our tour will end amid many scenic views in the region formed by the lava of Mount Etna, where we can take photos. Then we return to our hotel. DAY 2: SAVOCA – TAORMINA – GIARDINI NAXOS – CATANIA After breakfast, we begin our full-day excursion at the time previously announced by our guide. On our Savoca, Taormina, and Giardini Naxos tour, we will see the places where the world-famous movie “The Godfather” was filmed. Among the places we will visit are Bar Vitelli and San Michele Church. After passing through movie-like streets, we head to Taormina, the pearl of the Ionian Sea and the most beautiful coastal town in Sicily. We visit this charming town at the foot of Mount Tauro, with its streets, souvenir shops, and avenues, in a setting so beautiful it leaves you in awe. Then we move on to Giardini Naxos, famous for its captivating volcanic beach and colorful streets. In this cultural mosaic, settled by the Greeks in the 6th century BC and later inhabited by Phoenicians and Romans, you can take wonderful photos. At the end of the tour, we return to our hotel. DAY 3: SYRACUSE – CATANIA After breakfast, we leave the hotel for our full-day Syracuse tour. In Syracuse, the city where the famous mathematician Archimedes lived, we see the Arethusa Fountain, the Cathedral, Diana Fountain, and the Temple of Apollo. Then we return to Catania. Among the places we will see panoramically in Catania city center are Duomo Cathedral, the Elephant Fountain, Republic Square (Piazza Repubblica), and Etna Street. After free time, transfer to our hotel. DAY 4: CATANIA – MALTA / GOZO ISLAND – DWEJRA – T’PINO CHURCH – VICTORIA RABAT – XELENDI – MGARR After breakfast, we deliver our room keys to reception and complete check-out, then head to Catania Airport. Departure to Malta at 07:35 on Air Malta flight KM641, arriving at 08:15. After our hotel check-in procedures, we begin our Gozo tour with your guide. We cross to Gozo Island by ferry from Cirkewwa Port. On peaceful Gozo, with its green nature, we visit Dwejra, which has hosted films such as Troy, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones, and then T’Pino Church, a pilgrimage site. We will have the chance to taste local products such as honey, carob, liqueur, and cheese. Later, free time in the fishing village of Xlendi. In Victoria Rabat, we see St. George’s Basilica and stroll through the streets. At the end of the tour, we return to Malta via Mgarr Port and transfer to our hotel. DAY 5: MOSTA – MDINA – VALLETTA (GAME OF THRONES) – MARSAXLOKK After breakfast, check out of the hotel and board the bus with our luggage. Our full-day tour begins. We visit the Santa Maria Assunta Church in Mosta, which has the third largest dome in Europe. Then we move to Mdina, where some scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed. After seeing historical structures such as the Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the Carmelite Church, we take a break at Fontanella Cafe. Later, we explore the capital, Valletta. Our final stop is Marsaxlokk Fishing Village. We enjoy pleasant time among its colorful boats and lively market. Afterwards, transfer to the airport and departure to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1372 at 19:15. Arrival at 22:45 and end of the tour.
