01st DAY: ISTANBUL AIRPORT – PALERMO We meet our valued guests at 04:00 in front of the Turkish Airlines international departures F counters (counters 1–27) by entering through Gate 3 of Istanbul Airport, and complete check-in procedures. We depart for Palermo at 07:55 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1373. We arrive in Palermo at 08:25 local time. After passport and baggage procedures, we meet our private vehicle and head to the city center. On our panoramic tour of Palermo city center, the places to be seen include Politeama Square, Quattro Canti Square, Via Roma, and Via Libertà streets. Afterwards, transfer to our hotel and check-in to the rooms. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at our hotel. 02nd DAY: MONREALE – ERICE – CASTELLAMMARE DEL GOLFO After breakfast, we depart from the hotel for our Monreale tour. We visit Monreale Cathedral, one of the most important examples of Byzantine architecture in Sicily. With its 6,500 m² of glass mosaics, this building is one of the masterpieces of Byzantine art and also one of the most impressive examples of Norman-era art. Then we head to Erice, a typical medieval town with its fortifications, courtyard houses, and stone streets. During the free time we will have here, you will feel as if you are inside history and will be able to take beautiful photos of the magnificent views. After Erice, we go to Castellammare del Golfo, a charming town in Trapani. In this town, which stands out for both its historical texture and natural beauty, you can enjoy pleasant walks during the free time we will have around Aragonese Castle and along the coast. At the end of the tour, return to our hotel and overnight. 03rd DAY: PALERMO – CEFALU – CATANIA After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and set off for the charming fishing town of Cefalu, located on the Tyrrhenian Sea coast. After spending time here among the 12th-century historic cathedral, the Fishermen’s Gate, and the original streets, we depart for Catania. On our panoramic city tour along the way, the places to be seen include Duomo Cathedral, Fontana dell’Elefante, Piazza Repubblica, and Etna Street. Afterwards, arrival at our hotel and free time. Overnight at our hotel in Catania. 04th DAY: GIARDINI NAXOS – TAORMINA – SAVOCA After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour. Our first stop is Giardini Naxos, famous for its colorful streets and volcanic beaches. Then we move on to Taormina. In this charming city built at the foot of Mount Tauro, we enjoy pleasant time among its streets, boutique shops, and views. After that, we head to Savoca. In this historic village, where the world-famous “The Godfather” was filmed, we see iconic places such as Bar Vitelli and San Michele Church. After the tour, return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. 05th DAY: ETNA – SIRACUSA – CATANIA AIRPORT – ISTANBUL AIRPORT After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and depart for Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Along the way, we have the opportunity to photograph the unique natural scenery. We see the Silvestri Crater, the second crater at an altitude of 1,800 meters, and take short walks in areas covered with rocks formed by lava. After Etna, we head to Siracusa, the city where the famous mathematician Archimedes lived. Here, the places to be seen include the Arethusa Fountain, the Cathedral, Diana Fountain, and the Temple of Apollo. At the end of the tour, we proceed to Catania Airport. After passport and baggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul at 19:25 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1396. We arrive in Istanbul at 23:50 local time, and our tour ends.
