1. DAY              ISTANBUL – ROME We meet you, our valued guests, in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport. After baggage and ticket procedures, we fly with Turkish Airlines scheduled service. Upon arrival, we head to Rome city center for a panoramic city tour by our private bus waiting for us at the airport. After arriving in Rome, we begin our panoramic city tour. During our tour, the sights to be seen include Castel Sant’Angelo, where Cem Sultan was imprisoned; Piazza Venezia, where Mussolini addressed the public, and the topographical center of Italy, the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument; the Colosseum, which hosted gladiator fights; the Trevi Fountain, famous from the film La Dolce Vita; the Spanish Steps consisting of 135 steps; and the Spanish Square, which contains the sunken ship fountain. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel. 2. DAY             ROMA After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional “Step by Step Rome” tour organized by our guide for an additional fee of 85 €. In this tour, we set out to discover Rome, one of the oldest cities in the world and once known as the center of the world under the name Caput Mundi. The sights to be seen on our tour include the Pantheon, built by Agrippa in BC and possessing the largest dome ever dedicated to all gods of paganism; Piazza Navona, considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world with its three fountains; San Luigi dei Francesi Church, where we may have the opportunity to see works by Caravaggio; Sant’Andrea della Valle Church, one of Rome’s most ornately decorated churches; and Campo de’ Fiori, home to one of Rome’s other famous squares and its permanent market. After the tour, we will be treated to world-famous Roman ice cream and have free time. After free time, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. Guests who wish may join the optional Outlet and Lakes Region (Castel Gandolfo-Nemi) & Vatican tour organized by our guide for an additional fee of 80 €. After visiting the region of natural beauty where the Popes spend their summer periods and Nemi, famous for its wild strawberries and a place you will want to live in permanently, we will have free time at Italy’s most famous outlet area. Then we head to St. Peter’s Square, accepted as the center of Christianity. Upon arrival, free time for visiting the Basilica and the Square. Guests who wish may join the Rome Night Tour for 35 € or the Antique Roman-style dinner and entertaining Night Tour for 75 €. Overnight at your hotel. 4. DAY             ROME – ISTANBUL After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Rome Airport depending on flight time. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, departure for Istanbul on a Turkish Airlines scheduled flight. Upon arrival, the end of our tour and services.
