Day 1 ISTANBUL – BERLIN - POZNAN
We meet our valued guests in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport at 09:30 for our tour. After baggage and ticket procedures, we fly to Berlin on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK1725 at 12:20. Upon arrival at 14:10 local time, we depart for Poznan by our private coach waiting for us at the airport. Upon arrival in Poznan, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 POZNAN – WARSAW | Torun
After breakfast, we begin our Poznan city tour. During our city tour, we will see Market Square, the City Hall, which best reflects the impact of the Renaissance on the country, St. Maria Magdalena Collegiate Church, one of the finest Baroque structures in the country, and Freedom Square. After the tour, we depart for Warsaw. Guests who wish may join the optional Torun tour along the way. Torun features monumental brick-built Gothic architecture from the Middle Ages, including churches, the historic town hall, and city walls. The city where Mikołaj Kopernik, who proved that the universe is not centered on the Earth, was born and raised, Torun is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After visiting the old town center, Town Hall, and Copernicus’ house, we continue to Warsaw. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 WARSAW – KRAKOW | Czestochowa
After breakfast, a panoramic Warsaw city tour will be arranged. Places to see include the Royal Palace, the statue of King Sigismund III Vasa, Royal Square, Bell Square, the monumental gate of the city, Barbican, the Mermaid Sirena monument, and Madame Curie’s house. After the tour, guests who wish may join the optional Czestochowa tour along the way. Known as Poland’s open-air museum, Czestochowa is a world-famous city that houses the Pauline Monastery of Jasna Gora, the home of the Black Madonna icon and the sanctuary of the Virgin Mary. After visiting this sacred city, which receives around 5 million visitors each year, we continue to Krakow.
Day 4 KRAKOW | Wieliczka Salt Mine
After breakfast, our panoramic Krakow city tour begins. In this city, where Pope John Paul II was elected pope while serving as archbishop, we will first see the historic city center, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In this square, one of the largest in Europe and surrounded by numerous historic buildings, you will feel as if you are walking through medieval Europe. Then we will see Wawel Castle and Wawel Cathedral, where Pope John Paul II delivered his first sermon as a priest. Other places to see include the Main Market Square, the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice), St. Mary’s Basilica, Florianska Street, the Barbican, and the Slowacki Theatre. After the city tour, guests may join the optional Wieliczka Salt Mine tour organized by our guide. Used as a rock salt mine in the 13th century and later transformed into an underground city with artistic works and salt sculptures, Wieliczka Salt Mine is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After the visit, transfer to the hotel. Guests who wish to spend the evening in an enjoyable way may join the optional Polish Night with dinner, held in a local restaurant with live music and local flavors. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 KRAKOW – WROCLAW | Auschwitz
After breakfast, we depart for Wroclaw. Guests who wish may join the optional Auschwitz Nazi Camp tour organized by our guide along the way. We visit the Auschwitz–Birkenau Nazi Camp, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where approximately 1.5 million Jews were systematically tortured and killed during World War II. After the tour, arrival in Wroclaw and a city tour. In our city tour, we will see the Market Square in the historic center and the City Hall, whose construction began in the 13th century and which is still used today for social and cultural events. Then we will see Ostrow Tumski, the oldest part of the city, known as the “Cathedral Island,” with origins dating back to the 9th century. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 WROCLAW – BERLIN | Dresden
After breakfast, we depart for Berlin. Guests who wish may join the optional Dresden tour organized by our guide along the way. Upon arrival in Dresden, our city tour begins. Places to see include the Semper Opera House, Theater Square, the Church of Our Lady, Martin Luther Square, and Prague Street. After seeing Dresden, we continue to Berlin. Arrival in Berlin and overnight at our hotel.
Day 7 BERLIN | Potsdam
After breakfast, Berlin city tour. On our panoramic Berlin city tour, places to see include Alexanderplatz, Fernsehturm (TV Tower), Rotes Rathaus (Berlin City Hall), Nikolaiviertel, Berlin Cathedral, Schlossplatz and Unter den Linden Boulevard, Friedrichstrasse and Gendarmenmarkt with its two famous cathedrals, the remnants of the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz, and Kurfürstendamm Boulevard. Guests who wish may join the optional Potsdam tour organized by our guide. In Potsdam, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, places to see include Sanssouci Palace, the Obelisk, Brandenburg Gate, St. Nicholas Church, the Historic Mill of Ende, the Russian Colony Alexandrowka, the French Church, and St. Peter and Paul Church. After the tour, we return to our hotel and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 BERLIN – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, we complete the check-out procedures at the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to Berlin airport. After ticket and baggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK1726 at 15:10. Arrival in Istanbul at 19:10 local time and the end of the tour.
