Christmas Markets Switzerland France Germany Tour with Turkish Airlines for 4 Nights 5 Days

DAY 1: Istanbul – Stuttgart

Meeting at 09:45 in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal. After check-in procedures, departure for Stuttgart at 12:45 on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Arrival in Stuttgart at 13:45.

Upon arrival, our Stuttgart city tour begins. Although known for its identity as an industrial giant, Stuttgart is also a fascinating city with elegant parks, vineyards, cultural richness, and historical texture. During our city tour, the Schlossplatz (Palace Square), the magnificent Neues Schloss (New Palace), the historic Altes Schloss (Old Castle), and the Johanneskirche (St. John’s Church), which stands out with its impressive location over the lake, will be among the places visited. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is free time.

DAY 2: Stuttgart – Baden Baden – Strasbourg

After breakfast, we set out to discover Baden-Baden, located in Germany’s enchanting Black Forest region, famous for its lush nature, spas, thermal waters, wellness hotels, historical texture, peaceful atmosphere, and luxurious casinos.

The city, one of the favorite destinations of the world’s jet set, was also the inspiration for Dostoevsky’s novel The Gambler. Baden-Baden, home to the highest number of millionaires per capita in Germany, continues to impress its visitors with its splendor.

During our visit, places to be seen include Festspielhaus, one of Europe’s most prestigious concert and opera halls, the world-famous 300-year-old Kurhaus Casino, and Lichtentaler Allee, renowned for its towering trees, horse chestnuts adorned with white and pink flowers in early summer, a 356-year history, a 3-kilometer length, and a clear stream running through its center, making it a unique park. After enjoying pleasant time in this city, which has been an essential stop for writers such as Dostoevsky, Gogol, and Turgenev, and composers such as Brahms, Liszt, and Schumann, we conclude our Baden-Baden tour.

Then we head to Strasbourg with an approximately 4.5-hour journey. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel. The rest of the day is free time.

DAY 3: Strasbourg – Alsace – Colmar

After breakfast, we set out to explore Strasbourg, a charming city on the Rhine Wine Route that bears traces of both French and German culture. During our tour in this city, which shines brightly during the Christmas season, we will see the historic La Petite France district, the Cathedral Square, the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral, and the elegant Kammerz House.

After our Strasbourg tour, we head to Haut-Königsburg Castle, one of the gems of the Alsace region. Located at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level and overlooking the Alsace Plain, this magnificent castle welcomes around 500,000 visitors annually. Here, we will have the opportunity to observe life in medieval castles and enjoy unique panoramic views.

Next, we travel to the fairy-tale atmosphere of Colmar. Upon arrival, we will explore the colorful world of the Christmas Markets and see the Old Customs House, the Pfister House, one of the city’s symbols, and the charming Petite Venise (Little Venice) area with its colorful houses lined along the Rhine River. In this unique environment surrounded by rivers and canals, you will have the opportunity to taste local delicacies and browse many options for gifts for your loved ones.

After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Free time in the evening.

DAY 4: Colmar – Basel – Zurich

After breakfast, we check out of our rooms and set off for Basel, one of Switzerland’s cultural and artistic capitals. Historically an important trade center, Basel has evolved into one of Europe’s most respected cultural and industrial cities. After the fall of the Roman Empire, the city came under the rule of Germanic tribes and maintained its influence around the Rhine River from the 5th century onward.

Today, Basel is Switzerland’s third-largest city and is regarded as one of Europe’s cultural centers due to its numerous museums and art galleries. During our city tour, we will see the city’s landmarks, including the striking red Town Hall (Rathaus) and Basel Minster, originally built as a Catholic church in 1091 and rebuilt after the great earthquake of 1356.

After our Basel tour, we head to Zurich. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel and overnight there.

DAY 5: Zurich – Istanbul

After breakfast, we check out of our rooms and begin our panoramic Zurich city tour. In this enchanting city that combines historical texture with modern life, places to be seen include the Fraumünster Church, famous for its elegant stained glass windows, the Grossmünster Church, one of the city’s symbols, the Swiss National Museum with its rich collections, the magnificent Opera House, and Lake Zurich with its dazzling blue waters.

As we explore the historic clock tower and old guild houses in the Altstadt, the heart of the city, we also have the opportunity to enjoy a pleasant walk along Bahnhofstrasse, known for its lively atmosphere and world-famous shops.

After the tour, we transfer to the airport. We depart for Istanbul at 14:35 on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight and arrive in Istanbul at 19:35 local time. Thus, our enjoyable journey comes to an end.
