Need to Know
GENERAL TERMS 1- The General Terms are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently from the tour program. 2- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the tour, Wtatil may cancel the tour up to 21 days before the departure date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour fee will be refunded to the guest. For additional services purchased outside the tour, the refund of the domestic connecting flight ticket obtained from Wtatil will also be made to the guest. If visa services or travel health insurance have been used to apply for a visa on behalf of the guest, these services will be considered used and cannot be refunded. If no visa application has been made, the visa and travel health insurance will also be canceled and the fee refunded. If the guest purchased the domestic connecting flight independently from a different provider and the trip is canceled by Wtatil, the guest cannot claim any refund from Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance any material or moral losses that may arise due to the cancellation of the tour, and Wtatil cannot be held responsible. 3- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the tour, Wtatil has the right, in good faith, not to cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour would be arranged individually for the guest, the included guiding service would only cover the overseas round-trip airport transfers. Cancellation and Changes 4- For cancellations made more than 30 days before the tour departure date, flight ticket costs that are non-cancelable, non-changeable, and non-refundable will be charged as a penalty. 5- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty up to 30 days before the tour departure date, provided they notify Wtatil in writing, excluding plane tickets that have been paid for and/or committed to by Wtatil to the airline. If less than 31 days remain before the trip start date, they may cancel by paying a penalty equal to 50% of the remaining tour fee after deducting the flight ticket amount; if 15 days or less remain before the trip start date, they may cancel by paying the full tour fee as a penalty. In the event of a cancellation request, the refund conditions for additional services such as domestic connecting flights, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary depending on the requested cancellation period, so information should be requested in advance regarding their refundability. Wtatil cannot guarantee refunds for additional services. Guiding Services and Optional Tours 6- The days and times of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide depending on the opening/closing status of museums and sites at the destinations and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany guests during the tours. 7- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of cities, conducted panoramically with narration by the guide from the vehicle, and lasting no more than 2-3 hours without entrance fees to museums or historical sites. If panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, cannot be carried out because the local authorities do not allow visits or entry on the relevant day and time, or due to closed roads caused by any event, or if weather conditions make the tour impossible, Wtatil is not responsible for the inability to perform such tours. Some tours may, where possible, be carried out by public transportation or on foot in areas closed to vehicles or where vehicle entry is not permitted. 8- Our guide may change the days of the city tour and/or optional tours depending on the contents of our tours, the number of participants, and the opening/closing status of museums and historical sites. This also applies in cases of changes in flight times. 9- Important points to consider in tours carried out by speed boats: do not eat a heavy meal or drink excessive amounts of water immediately before boarding the boat. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, must inform their guide of their condition. 10- No refunds will be made if the guests do not participate in the tour or meal services included under the services specified as included in the price. Regarding Flights 11- Wtatil acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger; in possible disputes, in addition to the relevant provisions of Turkish law, the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention shall apply. 12- Delays or flight time changes may occur on scheduled and charter flights. Wtatil is obliged to inform such changes as soon as possible. The passenger has purchased the trip accepting the risk of flight time changes/cancellations. 13- Children aged 0-2 pay only the airport tax. 14- As required by airline rules, if the outbound flight of round-trip tickets is not used, the return flight is canceled by the airline. 15- For those participating in flights-included tours, check-in and boarding procedures are personal procedures and must be completed by the guest before the flight at the airport counters of the relevant airline or online via the airline’s website. 16- Last-minute flight delays and gate changes are announced audibly at airports and displayed on information boards. Guests must follow this information personally. 17- Guests who are not present at the specified airport at the times announced in accordance with airline rules, who do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or who complete check-in and boarding but do not board the plane, cannot hold Wtatil responsible if they are unable to take the flight. Guests who miss the plane are responsible for all expenses related to obtaining new round-trip tickets required to join the tour and for transfers in the destination area, etc. 18- In general, the baggage allowance for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the baggage allowance on these domestic flights may be reduced to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/fee rules are determined by airlines and are not Wtatil’s responsibility. 19- Guests wishing to upgrade their airline tickets using miles (to business or first class) may do so after the tickets have been issued, subject to the airline’s availability (please check the airline of your membership). No mileage guarantee is given for each flight. Please check whether the program tickets are in an upgradeable class. 20- On some airlines, food, beverages, and online check-in services may be subject to additional charges. Other Matters 21- Wtatil will not accept responsibility for any changes or cancellations made by the guest by contacting the hotel directly. In such cases, Wtatil’s cancellation conditions shall apply. 22- In cases where the tour program provides only category information and/or offers options for the same destination without specifying hotel names, Wtatil will inform the guest 48 hours before departure. 23- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used farther from the stated locations or distances. In such cases, Wtatil will inform you 15 days before the departure date. 24- When booking the purchased tour, the guest must correctly enter/declare the name as it appears on the passport, date of birth, and passport number in the system. Airline tickets are issued based on this information. The penalty costs for cancellations or changes to flight tickets resulting from incorrect information will be charged to the guest. 25- To use your mobile phone abroad, before leaving Turkey, please check with your mobile operator whether your phone is enabled for international use. 26- Hotel check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00. 27- Requests related to the room made by Wtatil (high floor, near common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) are communicated to the hotel. Care is taken to ensure that the allocated rooms match the guest’s preferences according to the hotel’s availability. Fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil. 28- Breakfast served in hotels differs from the rich breakfast commonly known in Turkish cuisine. It is usually served as a limited continental breakfast consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and for groups it may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group. 29- In some cases, a double bed may be provided instead of twin beds. Most European hotels offer twin rooms that can be joined together when necessary. 30- Child and extra bed policies may vary by hotel and room type. 31- Any extra bed or baby cot is provided upon request and subject to hotel availability, and must be approved by the hotel. 32- The capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in the room is 1 item at most. 33- In triple rooms, an extra bed is used; in such rooms, the bed assigned to the third person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are foldable or coach beds. Guests are deemed to have accepted the cramped space and bed type that may occur in rooms due to the extra beds added to standard rooms in triple and/or child reservations. 34- If the number of children staying with adults and the ages of the children stated in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by the guest, the relevant hotel may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility belongs to the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to verify children’s ages. 35- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, there may be no separate bed for the child. Child prices are valid only if the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply only to a “single child” in the eligible age group staying with 2 adults. 36- Daily exchange rate fluctuations are reflected in TL prices. The exchange rates at the time of payment apply. Additional requests and some extra services you may receive at the hotel (minibar, iron, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These costs are not included in the purchase price and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay. 37- Some countries have different applications regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. Any such city, tourism, or other taxes applied are collected by the hotel from the guest upon check-in or check-out. 38- Distances given in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may be longer due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographic location of the country visited, roadworks, and similar conditions. 39- Wtatil may, when necessary or deemed appropriate, change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used, without altering the content of the program. 40- Participants are responsible for their personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/IDs; Wtatil is not responsible for forgotten/lost/stolen items. If forgotten items are found, the costs incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person shall be borne by the owner of the item. 41- Participants are required to have their travel health insurance policies with them, as well as any medications and medical reports if they have any health issues. 42- For possible extra expenses, the hotel may request a photo ID/passport issued by official institutions and a credit card or cash deposit at check-in. The refund of any deposit requested at check-out is a matter between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no involvement. Visa and Passport 43- A visa application is required for Turkish citizens. 44- Passports of our guests must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of the trip. 45- For customs crossings/border gates, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages so that entry/exit stamps can be placed in it. 46- Being exempt from a visa for entry to the countries in this tour does not mean that entry into or exit from the country is guaranteed; the passport police has the authority to refuse your entry or exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger. 47- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who have dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using their other country’s passport must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedures applied by the destination country to the passport they will use; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any resulting consequences. 48- Passports that are torn, worn, wet, and/or otherwise damaged should be renewed to avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger. 49- For guests under 18 traveling alone or with only one of their parents, there is a possibility that border police may request a document showing the mutual consent of the parents upon entry/exit; therefore, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay attention to this matter.
