Grand Malta 3 Nights - Special Ramadan Bayram with THY

Day 1 Istanbul – Malta – Valletta – Malta Meeting 3 hours before departure at the Turkish Airlines counter in the international departures terminal at Istanbul Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Malta on Turkish Airlines flight TK1369 at 08:10. Upon arrival at 08:45 local time, we will meet our vehicle waiting for us at the airport and begin our city tour in the capital, Valletta. After a tour around the city walls by vehicle, we will explore the city’s lively streets. Our first stop will be the Barrakka Gardens, built on the upper part of the defensive walls surrounding this magnificent city. These gardens, built by the Knights of St. John, offer views of the Grand Harbour and the three old cities surrounded by walls. We then continue our tour. St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the Grand Master’s Palace, and the Parliament Building are among the places to be seen. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 2 Malta – Gozo – Malta After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Gozo Island Tour (80 Euro). We head to Gozo, Malta’s second largest island, in the early morning from Cirkewwa Port in the north of the island. During the approximately half-hour ferry journey, we will also see the small islands of Comino and Cominotto. Upon arrival, our tour will include Ta’ Pinu Church, Dwejra, the Inland Sea, the Fungus Rock, and the fishing village of Marsalforn. Finally, we will visit the island’s capital, Victoria. After seeing the cathedral, city walls, Court of Justice, and Bishop’s Palace, we will have free time in the city before returning to Malta by ferry. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Day 3 Malta – Mdina & Mosta – Marsaxlokk – Three Cities – Malta After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Towns and Cities Tour (Mdina & Mosta & Marsaxlokk & Vittoriosa & Senglea & Cospicua) (80 Euro). Our tour will take us to the central region of Malta, dominated by the historic Mdina Fortress. In Mdina, Malta’s former capital and a place of historical importance, we will visit the city’s bastions, which offer a nearly panoramic 360-degree view of the island of Malta. Next, we will visit Mosta, a historic town in the center of Malta. The town is famous for the impressive Rotunda Church (Mosta Dome). With its massive unsupported dome, this church is known as miraculous because of the bomb that fell inside during World War II but did not explode. After the tour, our next stop will be Marsaxlokk, a traditional fishing village. Named after the Arabic word “marsa,” meaning “harbor,” and the south-easterly wind “xlokk,” the village is known for its harbor full of brightly painted traditional luzzu boats, its sea-oriented lifestyle, and its restaurants famous for seafood. We will then visit the Three Cities (Vittoriosa – Senglea – Cospicua). With narrow stone streets, walled structures, Baroque churches, and sea-view promenades, these cities were the first area settled by the Knights of Malta in the 16th century and formed the backbone of the island’s military defense line. Each bears traces of the knights, the Ottoman sieges, and Malta’s maritime past. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 4 Malta – Istanbul After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Popeye Village Tour (65 Euro). This village, built as the set of the world-famous 1980 film Popeye, has today been transformed into an open-air museum and amusement park. This charming village of wooden houses offers many activities for both film enthusiasts and families, such as interactive shows, playgrounds, and boat tours. Afterwards, transfer to the airport at the time determined by the guide. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1372 at 19:30. Arrival in Istanbul at 23:55 local time and end of the tour.
