1st Day İstanbul (SAW) – Copenhagen Meeting 3 hours before the flight in front of the Ajet Airlines check-in counter at the international departures terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Copenhagen at 12:15 with Ajet Airlines flight VF 69. Upon arrival at 13:45 local time, our city tour begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Copenhagen, whose name in Danish means “trade harbor,” is the capital of Denmark and its most populous city. The city is known for its distinctive architecture, colorful buildings, and lively harbor districts. In addition, according to studies, the Danish people are considered the happiest people in the world. During the Copenhagen city tour, Nyhavn Canal, Christiansborg Castle, Glyptotek, Amalienborg Palace, and Strøget shopping street are among the places to be seen. Our first stop on the tour is Kronborg Castle. Located in Helsingør, Denmark, Kronborg Castle is one of the country’s most famous historical landmarks. Built in the 15th century, this impressive castle has preserved its splendor from the Middle Ages to the present day and was once one of the important residences of the Danish royal family. It is best known for hosting William Shakespeare’s Hamlet; therefore, the castle has great importance both historically and literarily. Accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000, Kronborg is of great historical significance and is an outstanding architectural structure. After the tour, our second stop will be Frederiksborg Palace. Frederiksborg Palace is an impressive structure located in Hillerød, Denmark, on a beautiful lake and considered one of the finest examples of Northern Renaissance architecture. Overnight at the hotel. 3rd Day Copenhagen – Malmö – Gothenburg After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Malmö. Malmö is a settlement known for its long bridge, parks, and historical buildings. Located in the Skåne region in the south of the country, Malmö is Sweden’s third largest city and the sixth largest city in the Scandinavian countries. During our city tour here, Stortorget Square, City Hall, Lilla Torg Square with its lively cafés and restaurants, and St. Peter’s Church are among the places we will see. After the tour, we head to Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city. Gothenburg is a paradise-like city located on Sweden’s west coast, near the Atlantic Ocean. As Sweden’s second largest city after Stockholm and the fourth largest city in Scandinavia, Gothenburg is built on the Göta River and fascinates everyone with its historical and cultural richness. Overnight at the hotel. 4th Day Gothenburg – Oslo After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Oslo, the 4th largest city in Scandinavia and Norway’s largest city. Oslo is a city famous for its high standard of living and natural beauty. Founded as a port city in 1049 and previously known as “Christiania,” the city took the name Oslo in 1925. We leave the hotel early and head out for our full-day tour. Stockholm, the capital and largest city of Sweden, has for centuries remained the country’s center of culture, art, and economy, and has always been a favorite destination for tourists with its colorful buildings, historic structures, and natural beauty. During our city tour in Stockholm, places to be seen include the City Hall, Kungsträdgården Central Park, National Theatre, Stock Exchange Building, Gamla Stan, which means the Old Town, the Royal Palace, and Fjällgatan Hill. Overnight at the hotel. 7th Day Stockholm After breakfast at the hotel, we join the Grand Treasures of Sweden (Uppsala & Djurgården Island and Vasa Museum) tour. Our first stop on the tour is Uppsala. As the 4th largest city in Sweden, Uppsala is also one of the country’s oldest and most historic places. With its unique cultural beauty and exciting history, it adds even more charm to its appeal. During our city tour here, places to be seen include Uppsala Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in Scandinavia, Uppsala University, the oldest university in Scandinavia with a history dating back 550 years, and the Fyris River, which divides the city into two. After the tour here, our next stop will be Djurgården Island. A magical island located in the fairy-tale heart of Stockholm, Djurgården feels as if it came straight out of a fairy tale. The Vasa Museum is a magnificent structure that bears the traces of the 17th-century Vasa warship. Although Vasa was designed as a magnificent and powerful warship when it set sail in 1628, it sank tragically on its first voyage. Retrieved from underwater in 1961, Vasa has reached the present day like a time capsule. At the museum, you will have the opportunity to examine this massive ship in detail and take photos in front of its enormous sails and impressive size. After the tour, transfer to our hotel.
