Day 1 İstanbul – Baku Meeting 3 hours before the flight in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport, international departures terminal. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Baku on Turkish Airlines flight TK332 at 08:35. Upon arrival in Baku at 12:30 local time, our city tour begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Baku is the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan, located on the coast of the Caspian Sea, and stands out with its rich history, impressive architecture, and modern structures. Our city tour will start with Upland Park, which offers magnificent views of Baku Bay, Primorsky Boulevard, the Old City, Maiden Tower, and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs. Here, we will also visit the monument to the Turkish soldiers who were martyred in the battles for the liberation of Baku from the occupiers and have the opportunity to take photos with the famous Flame Towers in the background. Our next stop on the tour will be Baku Boulevard, considered both a symbol and a favorite walking spot for both locals and visitors to the city. Afterwards, we will see the impressive Azerbaijan Government House and the elegant Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall, visit Governor’s Garden, and Nizami Street, one of Baku’s liveliest pedestrian avenues filled with stylish boutiques, charming cafés, and historic architecture. Overnight at the hotel. Day 2 Baku After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Magnificent Modern Baku Tour. (40 USD). We begin the day with a panoramic drive through modern Baku by visiting White City. We will see modern architecture and experience the atmosphere of the new Baku. Our next stop will be Military Trophy Park, dedicated to the country’s historical and patriotic spirit, where military trophies are displayed outdoors. After the boulevard, we will have free time for shopping at one of Baku’s best shopping centers, where you can find international brands as well as local designer stores. After the free time, we will have a photo stop at the Haydar Aliyev Cultural Center, which stands out with its modern and impressive architecture designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid. The building was constructed to honor Heydar Aliyev’s life, political career, and role in Azerbaijan’s history. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 3 Baku After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Magnificent Gobustan Tour. (60 USD). Located 64 kilometers southeast of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, Gobustan is a historical region listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This archaeological site, home to more than 6,000 petroglyphs (rock carvings), numerous ancient human settlements, dwellings, burial grounds, caves, and artifacts from various historical periods, has great cultural significance. After the tour, on our way back we will visit the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, built in 1267, and have the opportunity to see the world’s first mechanically drilled oil well, established in 1846, located in the Bibi-Heybat settlement. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 4 Baku – Istanbul After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Fire Temple Ateshgah Tour. (55 USD) Ateshgah is one of the three Zoroastrian temples in the world and was considered sacred for centuries by different faith groups such as Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, and Sikhism. The construction date of the complex is believed to date back to 1713. However, the temple existed from earlier periods and has survived to the present day while preserving its original structure. In Ateshgah, where a fire burns continuously over a natural gas source representing eternal flame, this fire is maintained artificially today. After the tour, transfer to the airport at the time determined by the guide. After baggage and ticket procedures, depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK341 at 17:30. Arrival in Istanbul at 19:55 local time and end of the tour.
