1st Day Istanbul – Zurich – Rhine Falls – Lucerne – Zurich
Upon meeting 3 hours before departure at the Turkish Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport, we will complete baggage, ticket, and passport procedures and depart for Zurich on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1907 at 07:30. Upon arrival at 09:25 local time, our Zurich city tour begins. With its historic center, striking Gothic-style churches, and historic buildings, it welcomes millions of visitors every year. After seeing Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, which has the largest clock tower in Europe, we will tour Bahnhofstrasse, regarded as the city’s shopping center. Following the tour, transfer to our hotel. Those who wish may join the optional Magnificent Rhine Falls & Lucerne tour. (80 Euro) On this tour, our first stop is Rhine Falls, a natural wonder that holds the title of Europe’s largest waterfall with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. This place, embraced by the powerful currents of the Rhine River, is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the turquoise waters. After a breathtaking walk with the power of the water and the impressive scenery, we continue to Lucerne, a historic city in the central part of Switzerland at the foot of the Alps. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we finish our tour and transfer to our hotel. 2nd Day Zurich – Basel – Mulhouse
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Basel. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Basel, the third most populous city in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that contains both modern and historic textures and, although small in area, has many treasures. During our city tour, the Basel Cathedral, where the tomb of the famous Renaissance writer Erasmus of Rotterdam is located, Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Rois are among the places to be seen. After the tour, those who wish may join the optional Magnificent Fairy-Tale Villages of Alsace tour (Riquewihr, Kaysersberg, Colmar & Eguisheim). (100 Euro) Our first stop is Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting towns in Alsace, made famous by its many half-timbered houses. This historic village fascinates visitors with its old houses decorated with colorful flowers, narrow streets, and medieval atmosphere surrounded by walls. During our tour, we will also see the ruins of Riquewihr Castle and walk along the village’s old walls to feel the medieval ambiance. We then continue to Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a medieval town in France and a charming part of the Alsace region. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historical texture. In particular, the 13th-century Château de Kaysersberg is one of the town’s most prominent landmarks. The Sainte-Croix Church in the town center also stands out with its Gothic architecture. After the tour, we head to Colmar, famous for its historic buildings dating back to the Middle Ages, Gothic-style churches, and colorful houses. As we stroll through Colmar’s remarkably well-preserved streets, we will see St. Martin’s Cathedral, built entirely of pink stone, Little Venice, which resembles Venice in Italy with its small canals, Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses, and Maison des Têtes, a Renaissance building adorned with faces. Our next stop after the tour is Eguisheim, a place where we will want to take photos at every opportunity. Having been awarded the title of “Favorite French Village” in 2013, Eguisheim is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses reflecting the typical architecture of Alsace create a postcard-like view. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Mulhouse or the surrounding area. Overnight at the hotel.
3rd Day Mulhouse – Bern – Geneva
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Bern. Bern, the capital of Switzerland, offers visitors a captivating atmosphere with its historic city center on the UNESCO World Heritage List, streets preserving their medieval character, stone buildings, arcades, and fountains. During our tour, the Clock Tower, the Old City known as the largest covered shopping area in Europe, Einstein’s House, the History Museum, the Parliament Building, and the square will be seen panoramically. After the tour, we depart for Geneva. Geneva, one of Switzerland’s most cosmopolitan cities, is located in the west of the country on the shores of Lake Geneva and very close to the French border. The city, which is of great importance in terms of international diplomacy, is home to the United Nations Office at Geneva, the Red Cross, and the headquarters of many international organizations. During our city tour here, Lake Geneva, Mont Blanc Bridge, St. Pierre Cathedral, the United Nations and Red Cross buildings, Notre Dame, and the old town will be among the places to be seen. After the tour, those who wish may join the optional Magnificent Lausanne – Ouchy – Montreux and Chillon Castle Tour. (80 Euro) Our first stop on this tour is Lausanne, a city on the shore of Lake Geneva and of historical importance for our country. Lausanne Cathedral, the Old Town (Vieille Ville), the historic center of the city, and Flon, a modern shopping and entertainment district, are among the places we will see. Then we head to Ouchy. Once a fishing village, Ouchy was incorporated into Lausanne in the mid-19th century due to its role as a harbor on Lake Geneva. In this peaceful and beautiful area, famous for its lake views, the exterior of the charming Château d’Ouchy and Ouchy Harbor will be seen. Our final stop is Montreux, another peaceful spot on the shores of Lake Geneva. In this relaxing town, known for its serene atmosphere, mountain views, and lakeside walking paths, we will see Chillon Castle from the outside, the statue of Queen’s lead singer Freddie Mercury, and Montreux Harbor. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
4th Day Geneva – Istanbul
After breakfast, check out of the rooms and transfer to the airport at the time indicated by our guide. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1920 at 19:00. Arrival at 23:15 local time and the end of the tour.
