Day 1 Ankara – Düsseldorf – Amsterdam We meet 3 hours before the flight at the SunExpress Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Ankara Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Düsseldorf at 06:25 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ794. Upon arrival at 08:25 local time, we set off for Amsterdam by our waiting vehicle. In Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, which borders Germany to the east and Belgium to the south, we will take a city tour where Dam Square, Central Station, the National Monument, the Royal Palace, the Flower Market, and the Red Light District are among the places to be seen. Day 2 Amsterdam – Zaanse Schans – Marken – Volendam – Giethoorn – Amsterdam After breakfast at the hotel, our guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Fairytale Villages and Water Canals tour (Zaanse Schans & Marken & Volendam & Giethoorn Hobbit Village) (100 Euro). Our tour begins in Zaanse Schans. One of the hidden gems of the Netherlands, Zaanse Schans is famous for its old historic windmills that still operate today, its untouched nature, and its origins dating back to the 17th century. With its historic windmills and wooden houses, Zaanse Schans feels like an open-air museum and has a beauty unlike anywhere else in the world. Our second stop is Marken. After visiting this wonderful island, which was once an island but later connected to the mainland through land reclamation, we continue to Volendam. Volendam, with its harbor, characteristic Dutch houses, and people in traditional clothing, captivates visitors at first sight. After spending pleasant time in this town, where you can taste delicious seafood and cheeses and buy inexpensive souvenirs, our final stop is Giethoorn Hobbit Village. Considered one of the most beautiful places in the world, Giethoorn is among Europe’s most fairy-tale-like locations. Day 3 Amsterdam – Bruges – Ghent – Brussels After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Brussels. Today, Bruges is among the most visited cities in Europe and was placed under UNESCO protection in 1991. After touring this beautiful city, we head to Ghent, another city where time seems to stand still. With a history of 1,400 years, Ghent was founded at the confluence of the Scheldt and Lys rivers and was one of the largest and richest cities of the Middle Ages. Famous for its medieval monuments and university, we continue our tour here before heading to Brussels. Brussels, one of the most striking stops of Benelux tours, stands out with its multicultural character. Thanks to its cosmopolitan structure, the city offers travelers many different experiences. On our tour, we will see the Royal Palace, the Chinese and Japanese Houses, Brussels Cathedral, the city square, the Stock Exchange Building, the Atomium Monument, and the Manneken Pis statue. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Overnight at the hotel. Day 4 Brussels – Paris After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Paris, one of the most romantic cities in the world. Upon arrival in Paris, we will see the Charles de Gaulle and Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées, Louvre Museum and Pyramid, Etoile Square, Grand Palais and Petit Palais exhibition palaces, Concorde Square and the Obelisk, the French Parliament Building, Pont Alexandre III, the Seine River, Napoleon’s Tomb, and the Eiffel Tower. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. In the evening, our guests who wish may join the optional Paris Under the Lights tour (30 Euro). Paris is beautiful both by day and by night. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to see the Champs-Élysées, Concorde Square, the Louvre Museum, and many more boulevards, buildings, and squares illuminated at night. Day 5 Paris After breakfast at the hotel, our guests who wish may join the optional Paris Masterpieces & Seine River Boat Tour (Eiffel Tower & Seine River Cruise & Montmartre Artists’ Hill & Sacré-Cœur Basilica & Notre-Dame Cathedral) (100 Euro). Our first stop is the Eiffel Tower, the city’s iconic landmark, visited by millions of tourists every year. We will go up to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and get the chance to see Paris from above. Then we take a boat tour on the Seine River, which divides Paris into two. After seeing the historic structures on both banks of the river, we go by funicular to Montmartre Hill, the highest hill in Paris. The first place to see here will be Sacré-Cœur Basilica, where important artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Dalida, Vincent van Gogh, and Jean Marais left their mark. After seeing this building up close, we have a break at Place du Tertre, where you can shop and have your portrait drawn, and then visit Notre-Dame Cathedral, a symbol of French history and an indispensable part of Paris’s silhouette. Notre-Dame Cathedral was built between 1137 and 1180 by order of King Louis VII to show the political, economic, and cultural power of Paris to the world. Day 6 Paris – Reims – Metz After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Reims, another beautiful city of France. Reims is the ancient capital of the Gauls, and its name comes from Remes, dating back to that period. With its history reaching back to the Roman Empire and its unique Gothic architecture, Reims is the most important and largest city of the Champagne region and has witnessed the coronation ceremonies of many French kings. During this magnificent tour in Reims, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1991, we will see Reims Cathedral, the Palace of Tau, Saint-Remi Basilica, and La Porte de Mars. After the tour, we head to Metz. Metz is a charming city located in the Lorraine region of France, between Nancy and Luxembourg. Ranked 4th in the 2019 “European Best Destination” competition, Metz is on UNESCO’s Tentative List of World Heritage Sites due to its historical, cultural, and architectural features. After our tour here, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Day 7 Metz – Luxembourg After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Luxembourg. Upon arrival, our Luxembourg city tour begins. Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Grand Ducal Palace, the City Hall, and Constitution Square are among the places to be seen. Our first stop is Trier, founded by the Romans in 15 BC and known as the oldest city in Germany. Located in the Moselle Wine Region among low red sandstone hills covered with vines along the Moselle River, our city tour in Trier will include Porta Nigra, the largest surviving Roman city gate north of the Alps, Roman ruins within the UNESCO World Heritage area, St. Peter’s Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady, Constantine’s Basilica, and the house where Karl Marx, the father of scientific socialism, was born. After Trier, we continue to Remich, the duty-free town where you can make the cheapest purchases during the tour. Due to Luxembourg’s low-tax policies and its border location, you can buy items such as chocolate, coffee, and alcoholic beverages very cheaply here. Finally, we visit Schengen, the point where the borders of Germany, France, and Luxembourg meet and where the free movement agreement abolishing passport controls between European Union member states was signed. In this village, one of Europe’s important wine regions, you will have the opportunity to taste local wines and see the monument and building where the Schengen Agreement was signed. Cologne is one of Germany’s most important centers of transportation, culture, science, art, and trade. During our city tour, we will see the Gothic Cathedral, the Rhine River, and the shopping streets. After the tour, we continue to Düsseldorf. Upon arrival, our Düsseldorf city tour begins. In Düsseldorf, one of Germany’s most important cities of culture, art, and industry, we will see the revolving restaurant Rheinturm, Schloss Benrath, where some of Germany’s most important thinkers were educated, the Königsallee shopping street, and the green spaces of Hofgarten. After the tour, we head to Düsseldorf Airport. Following baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Ankara Esenboğa Airport at 19:10 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 795.
