Our ship will dock at the port of Hellesylt at 08:30. After breakfast, we depart for the "Hellesylt & Geiranger Tour" organized by our guide. Two fascinating villages at the end of the Storfjord fork. Once northern postal ports, today they are favored northern cruise ports in Norwegian tourism, receiving an average of 180 ship visits per year, despite the difficulty of overland access. Our tour begins by greeting the Hellesylt Waterfall... First defined as a postal route heading north, now a tourism center. We first go to the viewpoint where we will see the Hellesylt Fjord, and after photographing the fjord, we set off on our way. Our first stops are the Hamile Stone and the stone bridge dating back to the 1800s. Then we go to Hornindal Lake, the deepest lake in Europe, and take a break there. Our next stop after setting off again is Stryn, one of the most active cities in the region. After seeing the stone bridge in Stryn, where the royal family especially comes to fish, free time will be given for shopping and coffee/food. Then, after our break at the foot of Djupvatnet Lake, you will be amazed by the view from the terrace of Dalsnibba Mountain at 1476 m altitude, if the weather is nice. Afterwards, we will stop at the Flydal viewing platform and this time photograph the Geiranger Fjord. After our tour, we return to our ship. Our ship departs the port at 19:30. First, we will see Vågen, the harbor area famous for its colorful wooden houses and lively atmosphere, then we will take a pleasant walk through the streets of Gamle Stavanger (Old Stavanger), the historic heart of the city, considered one of Europe's best-preserved wooden house settlements. After photo stops among traditional white-painted Norwegian houses, we will visit Stavanger Cathedral with its impressive 12th-century architecture and the surrounding historic square. Then we will give free time in the Fargegaten (Colorful Street) area, noted for its colorful murals and artworks, where we will have the chance to discover local cafes, boutique shops, and the daily life of the city. Guests who wish may additionally join the "Lysefjord Boat Tour (180 EUR)." Our boat tour in Stavanger will consist of two parts. In the first part, we walk together through Norway's wealthiest city, the center of North Sea oil. Then we plan to spend about 2.5 hours on a boat tour of the 42 km Lysefjord (Light Fjord). For many, the most striking point of this unique and beautiful Norwegian fjord is the Pulpit Rock, a monolithic granite rock rising 600 m above the sea. Although the large crack visible from three sides of the rock gives the impression it could fall into the sea at any moment, thousands of years will likely pass before this natural event occurs. After our tour, we return to our ship. Our ship departs the port at 19:00. Dinner and overnight on board.
