Comfort Alsace France Germany Switzerland Tour with Turkish Airlines, 3 Nights, Extra Tours Included, BSL-BSL

Tour details
Day 1 Istanbul – Basel – Freiburg We will meet at the international departure terminal of Istanbul Airport three hours before the flight to complete our ticketing and baggage procedures. Our flight with Turkish Airlines scheduled service to Basel will take approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes. Upon arrival in Basel, which can be described as the intersection of three countries, we begin our city tour. In this beautiful city, where you can witness the synthesized character of France, Germany, and Switzerland, perhaps its most notable feature is the Rhine River that adorns it. Basel, where trade has been intense throughout history, has gradually become a cultural and industrial center. With the fall of the Roman Empire, Germanic tribes began to dominate Basel and its surrounding regions, and from the 5th century onward, these tribes fully influenced the area around the Rhine River. Today, in addition to being the third-largest city in Switzerland, it also hosts many museums and exhibitions. During our walking tour of the city, we will see the striking red City Hall and the Basel Minster, originally built in 1091 as a Catholic church and rebuilt after the great earthquake of 1356. Today, the church serves as a Protestant church and is listed on the Swiss Inventory of Cultural Property of National Significance. Then we will visit Marktplatz, the old city square and market place. Hosting many festivals, this square is one of the liveliest spots in the city. After getting to know Basel, we will take a short break for rest and lunch. We will continue our journey by heading to Freiburg. A German city, Freiburg is located adjacent to the Black Forest. When Freiburg is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind is undoubtedly that the city center is lined with miniature water canals called “Bächle.” These canals, built in the 13th century, were designed to prevent fires in the city. Today, they are among the historical features that attract the most attention from Freiburg visitors and children. Another notable structure is the Gothic Freiburg Minster Cathedral, rising from the center of the city. After our Freiburg visit, we will be transferred to our hotel. Day 2 Haut Koenigsbourg Castle – Riquewihr – Kaysersberg After breakfast at the hotel, we leave our hotel in the morning for a full-day excursion. We will visit Haut Koenigsbourg Castle, which can be described as the most magnificent structure in the Alsace region and the region’s most visited attraction. The castle, one of the cultural heritage symbols of the region, dates back to the 12th century. Construction was first started by the Hohenstaufen Dynasty, and over time it changed hands many times among various families and lords due to its strategic location. The historic structure suffered extensive damage during the Thirty Years’ War, remained abandoned for a long time, and was rebuilt in the early 1900s at the request of Prussian Emperor Wilhelm II. It still serves today as a museum that fascinates visitors with its architecture and showcases medieval life and culture. After our visit to the castle, we will visit the nearby village of Riquewihr. One of the most beloved villages in Alsace after Colmar, Riquewihr is located on the Alsace Wine Route and is a favorite stop for wine enthusiasts. With its medieval buildings, narrow cobblestone streets, and colorful half-timbered houses, it is like a town where time has stood still. After a short tour here, you will have time to explore the town and enjoy it. After our delightful visit to Riquewihr, we head to Kaysersberg, another magical medieval town in Alsace. The 13th-century Kaysersberg Castle and the picturesque Sainte-Croix Church are among the town’s prominent historical structures. Meaning “the Emperor’s Mountain,” the town is also the birthplace of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr. Albert Schweitzer. After visiting Alsace’s most beloved places, where time seems to stand still throughout the day, we will head to our hotel to rest. Day 3 Strasbourg – Obernai – Colmar – Eguisheim After breakfast at the hotel, we depart early in the morning and head north to Strasbourg. A city long disputed by Germany and France and passed back and forth many times throughout history, it was returned to France again after World War I with the Treaty of Versailles. Known as a symbol of European peace, Strasbourg hosts many international institutions such as the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, and the European Court of Human Rights. In addition to its historical and cultural richness, Strasbourg is surrounded by many canals and waterways. Built on the Ill River, a branch of the Rhine, the city is home to the Notre Dame Cathedral, once among the largest structures in the world. The historic center of the city, the picturesque medieval town of Le Petite France (Little France), listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most memorable places in Strasbourg. After our Strasbourg visit, we continue by visiting Obernai. Located very close to Strasbourg, Obernai is surrounded by vineyards and lies on the Alsace Wine Route. It is a town where famous Alsace wines such as Riesling and Gewürztraminer are produced. After our Obernai tour, we continue our journey by visiting Colmar, the pearl of the Alsace Region. As you explore Colmar, which reflects the region’s historical texture in the most vivid way, you will find yourself in an atmosphere where time seems to stand still. Its colorful half-timbered houses, balconies decorated with flowers, and Le Petit Venice (Little Venice), woven with canals, are among Colmar’s most enchanting spots. Lit up with lights, Colmar will offer you unforgettable memories and a magical experience. After free time in Colmar, we head to Eguisheim. A member of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France” club since 2003, Eguisheim was chosen as the favorite village of the French in 2013 and is also one of the most visited villages on the Alsace Wine Route. Its labyrinth-like streets, unique wooden houses, and famous wines make visitors feel as if they are in a medieval film. After our tour, we will head to our hotel to rest. Day 4 Basel - Istanbul After breakfast, check-out from the rooms and transfer to Basel Airport at the time to be announced by your guide. Flight to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines scheduled service. Efforts are made to ensure that the allocated rooms meet the guest’s preferences according to the hotel’s availability. Fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil. 27- Breakfast served at hotels differs from the rich breakfast customary in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served as a limited continental breakfast consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate room allocated to the group. 28- In some cases, a double bed may be provided instead of twin beds. Most European hotels provide twin rooms that can be joined if necessary. 29- Child and extra bed policies may vary according to each hotel and room type. 30- Any extra bed and baby cot are provided upon request and subject to hotel availability, and must be approved by the hotel. 31- The capacity for extra beds or baby cots in a room is 1 item maximum. 32- In triple rooms, an extra bed is used; in such rooms, the bed assigned to the 3rd person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are folding or coach beds. Our guests are deemed to have accepted the possible crowding in the rooms and the bed type resulting from extra beds added to standard rooms in triple rooms and/or reservations with children. 33- If the number of children staying with adults and the ages of the children stated in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by our guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to verify the age of children. 34- In reservations with 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child prices are valid only if the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply only to the “single child” age group staying with 2 adults. 35- Daily exchange rate changes are reflected in TL prices. The rates at the time of payment apply. Additional requests, and some extra services you may receive at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These expenses are not included in the price at the time of purchase and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay. 36- Some countries have different practices regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. Any such city, tourism, or other taxes in effect are collected by the hotel from the guest at check-in or check-out. 37- Distances given in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may be longer due to traffic, weather conditions, geographical location of the destination country, roadworks, and road conditions. 38- Wtatil may, when necessary or deemed appropriate, change the order of the cities in the program and the main airline to be used, without altering the content of the program. 39- The personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/IDs of those participating in the tour are under their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for forgotten/lost/stolen items. If forgotten items are found, the costs incurred in delivering them to the country and/or person belong to the owner of the item. 40- Participants of the tour are required to have their travel health insurance policies and, if they have any health issues, the relevant medications and medical reports with them. 41- For possible extra expenses, at hotel check-in, an official photo ID/passport and a credit card or cash deposit issued by official institutions may be requested by the hotel. The refund of the deposit requested at check-out is an issue between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no involvement. Visa and Passport 42- There is no visa requirement for Turkish citizens. 43- Passports of our guests must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of travel. 44- In order for an entry-exit stamp to be placed in your passport at customs/border crossings, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages. 45- Being exempt from a visa to enter the countries in this tour does not mean that entry/exit is guaranteed; passport police have the authority to allow or deny your entry/exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the traveler. 46- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who will participate in the tour using a different country’s passport despite having dual citizenship must personally consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedures applied by the country to the passport they will use; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any resulting consequences. 47- To avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet, and/or similarly damaged passports, passports must be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the traveler. 48- For our guests under the age of 18 traveling alone or with only one of their parents, since the police officer on duty at entry and exit may request a document showing the mutual consent of the mother and father, we recommend that guests under 18 and their parents be careful about this matter.
