1. DAY — ISTANBUL – MADRID Meeting with our valued guests 3 hours before the flight at the Pegasus Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport. After baggage and ticket procedures, departure for Madrid on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight. Upon arrival, panoramic city tour. We begin with the large square called Plaza Mayor. In this square there are 136 buildings and 437 balconies opening onto courtyards. In the past, bullfights and people burned by the Inquisition were watched from these balconies. Among the places to be seen are the heart of the city, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace’s public address place Plaza de Oriente, the Alcalá Gate built as an entrance gate to show the city’s wealth, Gran Via with its gallery roofs, Plaza Colon, Cibeles Square and Fountain, and the Cervantes Monument. After the tour, arrival at our hotel in Madrid and check-in. Overnight at the hotel. 2. DAY — MADRID After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may participate in the extra Segovia & Avila & Outlet Tour (90 Euro). On this tour, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage cities of Segovia and Ávila. After passing through the 11th-century walls, we will visit the old city of Ávila, the exterior of the cathedral, San Vicente Basilica, Plaza Mayor, and the interior of the Birthplace of Santa Teresa de Jesús. After the tour, we head to Segovia. We will see the huge Roman aqueduct, the exterior of Segovia Cathedral, Plaza Mayor, and the magnificent castle known as the fairy-tale castle in history, Segovia Alcázar. After the tour, we will go to Las Rozas Village, known as the largest outlet in the region. After free time for shopping here, we return to our hotel in Madrid. Overnight at the hotel. DAY — MADRID – GRANADA After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Granada. Guests who wish may join the extra Toledo Tour (45 Euro) to be organized by our guide along the route. Toledo is a true open-air museum and the former capital of Spain, one of the most important cities on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Its magnificent cathedral rivals some of the world’s most famous museums by hosting works of internationally renowned painters. Known as the city of El Greco, Toledo has remained unchanged since the 16th century. Buildings bearing traces of Roman, Visigothic, Arab, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture, narrow streets, El Greco’s paintings, traditional pastry shops, Damascene stores, and of course its famous cathedral make it a major tourist attraction. Another tradition in Toledo is marzipan production dating back to the time when the Arabs conquered the city. A visit to Toledo would not be complete without tasting this sweet delight. After a walk through the Jewish Quarter, we continue to Granada. Upon arrival, panoramic Granada city tour includes Bib-Rambla Square, the Christopher Columbus Monument, City Hall, and the Cathedral (exterior). After the tour, transfer to the hotel and free time. Guests who wish to spend the evening in an entertaining way may join the extra Sacromonte Night Tour (55 Euro). DAY — GRANADA After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Cordoba & Sevilla Tour (105 Euro). On this tour, we visit the city where Islamic civilization first began in Andalusia, the Jewish Quarter, and Plaza Mayor. Then, by visiting the structure that was once the main mosque and is now a cathedral, we will witness the traces of the past. After the tour, we continue on to Seville. Upon arrival, we will take a panoramic tour of this city founded on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, including Spain Square, the tobacco factory where Carmen took place, the Gold Tower, and the Jewish Quarter. After free time in front of Seville Cathedral, we return to Granada. After arrival at the hotel, free time. Overnight at the hotel. 5. DAY — GRANADA – VALENCIA After breakfast at the hotel, free time (check-out from the hotel will be at 11:00). Guests who wish may join the extra Alhambra Palace Tour (80 Euro) [the Alhambra Palace tour will be held subject to the palace’s availability]. The Alhambra, which accepts a limited number of visitors daily, was named “Alhambra,” meaning “red,” because red bricks were used on its walls and red tiles on its roof. After visiting the Alhambra Palace, one of the highest points reached by Islamic architecture, we head to Valencia. Upon arrival, we begin our city tour. As the third-largest city in Spain and also home to the country’s largest port, Valencia’s original name in Latin means power and strength. During the panoramic city tour in Valencia, places to be seen include the City of Arts and Sciences, Gothic Cathedral, Arena, City Hall, Historic Market, and the Old Silk Exchange. After the city tour, transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 6. DAY — VALENCIA – BARCELONA After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Barcelona. The capital of the Catalonia Autonomous Community, the second-largest city in Spain and home to the magnificent works of the famous architect Antoni Gaudí, Barcelona attracts four times its population in tourists thanks to its landmarks. On our panoramic city tour, we will see La Sagrada Familia, also known as the “Unfinished Church,” Spain Square and Catalunya Square, Gaudí’s Houses (Casa Batlló and Casa Milà), Catalonia Square, La Rambla Street, and Port Olímpic. After the city tour, transfer to your hotel. In the evening, guests who wish may join the extra Barcelona Night & Gothic Quarter Tour (35 Euro). On this tour, we will have the chance to see the illuminated side of Barcelona, known as the city that never sleeps in Europe. Then we head to the Gothic Quarter, which we have not visited before. In this district, after visiting Barcelona Cathedral, the Temple of Augustus, and the area’s most famous street, Carrer del Bisbe, we will have free time for dinner on La Rambla Street. Overnight at the hotel. 7. DAY — BARCELONA After breakfast, guests who wish may join the extra Girona & Figueres Tour (85 Euro). We begin our tour with Girona, a city built on the banks of the Onyar River and at first glance reminiscent of Florence, and the richest city in the region. This charming medieval city, with its narrow streets and cathedral, is well worth seeing; it is also the place where scenes from the film Perfume were shot. On our panoramic tour, we will see the Lion statue, Cathedral Square, the houses with Mezuzahs, the Jewish Quarter, La Rambla, and famous shops. After free time, we proceed to Figueres, with the view of the Pyrenees Mountains. This town has such an impressive atmosphere that it inspired the world-renowned boundary-breaking painter Salvador Dalí throughout his life. Here we will visit the museum-house that the famous surrealist painter Salvador Dalí decorated with his own hands. After visiting this museum, where each work is worth millions of dollars and where his immortal love Gala is portrayed, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 8. DAY — BARCELONA – ISTANBUL After breakfast, transfer to Barcelona Airport according to the flight time. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, depart for Istanbul on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight. Arrival in Istanbul and end of the tour.
