Day 1 | Istanbul – Bucharest
At 20:00 we depart from Kadıköy Marriage Office, at 20:30 from Mecidiyeköy Square/Bambi Cafe, at 21:00 from in front of İncirli Ömür Plaza, at 21:30 from in front of Beylikdüzü Marmara Park Mall, and at 21:59 from in front of Silivri Vega Mall. (You must be at the specified locations at least 15 minutes before the departure times.) After approximately 3 hours of travel, we arrive at Kapıkule Border Gate, complete customs and passport procedures, then continue to Bulgaria and head toward Ruse. We complete customs and passport procedures at the Romanian border.
Day 2 | Bucharest
Upon arrival in Bucharest in the morning, we take a panoramic city tour during which we see the Arch of Triumph, Revolution Square, University Square, the National Theater, the Parliament Palace, built by Ceaușescu and the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon, the Atatürk Bust, and the Old Inn. After the tour, we have free time, then transfer to our hotel, check in, and overnight stay. In the afternoon, those who wish may join the optional Terme Thermal Pools tour. This modern thermal center, consisting of 9 huge thermal leisure pools, 6 saunas, and 4 steam rooms at a water temperature of 29–30°C, is also the largest botanical garden in Romania with 800,000 trees inside. We spend a very enjoyable 3 hours at this thermal center with our guide. (75 €) Afterwards, return to the hotel. In the evening, our guests who wish may join the Musical & Entertaining Romanian Night. (75 € / Fixed Menu + Limited Drinks) Overnight stay at our hotel in Bucharest.
Day 3 | Bucharest – Veliko Tarnovo – Istanbul
After breakfast, we leave our hotel and, crossing the Friendship Bridge over the Danube River from Ruse Border Gate, head to the old Bulgarian capital, Veliko Tarnovo. Upon arrival in Veliko Tarnovo, during our panoramic city tour, we will see places such as the Tsarevets Fortress dating back to the 11th century, the Prison Museum, one of the old Ottoman monuments, Gurko Street lined with houses in Turkish-Ottoman architecture, and Samovodska Bazaar where Turkish artisans display their handmade works. After free time for lunch and shopping, we depart for Istanbul. After entering Turkey through Kapıkule Border Gate, we continue for approximately 3 hours and arrive in Istanbul after midnight, in the early morning hours, marking the end of our tour. Need to Know
GENERAL TERMS
1- General Terms are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program.
2- If sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved; Wtatil can cancel the tour up to 21 days prior to the travel date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full amount of the tour fee will be refunded to the guest. In the case of refunds for additional services purchased outside of the tour; domestic flight connections purchased from Wtatil will also be refunded to the guest, while visa services, travel health insurance, and services for which a visa application has been made on behalf of the guest using travel health insurance will not be refunded as these services are considered used. If the guest purchased the domestic flight connection from a different provider independent of Wtatil, they cannot request any fee refund from Wtatil if the trip is canceled by Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance the potential financial and moral losses arising from the cancellation of the tour and cannot hold Wtatil responsible.
3- If sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved, Wtatil has the right to show goodwill by not canceling the tour. In this case, private arrangements for the guest will be considered, and the included guiding service will only cover the round-trip airport transfers for international travel.
Cancellation and Changes
4- Guests have the right to cancel without penalty by informing Wtatil in writing up to 30 days before the tour departure date, except for airline tickets that have been paid and/or committed. In case the travel date is less than 31 days away, the guest may cancel by paying 50% of the tour fee remaining after deducting the cost of the plane ticket, and if it is 15 days or less before the tour start date, they may cancel by paying the full tour fee as a penalty. In case of cancellation requests, the refund conditions for services such as domestic flight connections, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary according to the cancellation request period, so it is necessary to inquire beforehand for refunds. Wtatil cannot make any commitments regarding the cancellation refunds of additional services.
Guiding Services and Extra Tours
5- The days and hours of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide based on the status of museums and historical sites being open/closed at the destinations and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany guests during tours.
6- Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are organized for the general introduction of cities and are conducted via panoramic driving with narration from the guide, lasting a maximum of 2-3 hours and do not include entrance fees to museums or historical sites. Wtatil is not responsible for any tours not being conducted due to the local authorities' refusal to allow visits, closed roads for any activities, or when it is made impossible to carry out the tour due to weather conditions, including during panoramic tours, along with other tours highlighted in the program. Some tours may be conducted using public transportation or on foot where vehicle access is restricted due to closed roads.
7- Based on the content of our tours, our guide may make changes to the days of city tours and/or additional tours depending on the number of participants, the status of the museums and historical sites being open/closed. This applies also in case of changes in flight times.
8- Special considerations for tours conducted via Speed Boats include; not eating heavy meals and not drinking excessive amounts of water right before boarding the vessel. Guests with stomach, back, neck ailments, or pregnant guests should inform their guide of their conditions.
9- There is no refund for services attended under specified tour or dining services included in the prices.
About Flights
10- Wtatil acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger, and in case of any disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention will apply.
11- Delays or changes in flight times may occur on scheduled and charter flights. Wtatil is obliged to inform about these changes as soon as possible. The guest accepts the risk of changes/cancellations of flight times when purchasing the trip.
12- Children aged 0-2 only pay airport tax.
13- According to airline rules; if the outbound flight purchased as a round-trip ticket is not used, the return flight will be canceled by the airline.
14- Check-in and boarding procedures required for participants in flights must be carried out by the guests at the airports or online via the airline's website before the flight.
15- Last-minute delays and gate changes for flights will be announced audibly at airports and displayed on information boards at the airport. These must be followed up directly by the guests.
16- Wtatil is not responsible for guests who do not present themselves at the specified airport at the indicated times according to airline rules for participation in the tour, do not carry out check-in and boarding procedures on time, or those who have completed check-in and boarding but do not board the aircraft. All expenses for guests who miss their flights, such as obtaining new flight tickets necessary for participation in the tour, transfers in the destination area, etc. will be their own responsibility.
17- The general luggage weight limit for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This weight may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, the luggage limit may decrease to 15 kg. Extra luggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of Wtatil.
18- For guests who want to upgrade their plane tickets using miles (to business or first class); upgrade procedures can be performed according to the availability of the airline (please check the airline you are a member of) after tickets are issued. No guarantees are provided for upgrades for each flight. Please check if the tickets in the program are from an upgradeable class.
19- Some airlines may charge extra for meal and online check-in services.
Other Matters
20- Wtatil will not be responsible for any changes or cancellations made directly by guests contacting the hotel. In such a case, Wtatil's cancellation conditions will apply.
21- If hotel(s) are given only by category information and/or optional in the tour program without stating the hotel names, guests will be informed by Wtatil 48 hours before the trip regarding the hotel name.
22- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at locations further than stated kilometers. In such cases, Wtatil will inform the guests 15 days before the travel date.
23- At the time of registration for the purchased tour; it is required that the name, date of birth, and passport number as stated on the passport are entered/certified correctly into the system. Plane tickets are issued based on this information. The penalty fees for any cancellations or changes arising from incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
24- To be able to use mobile phones abroad, before leaving Turkey, check with your service provider to ensure your phone is enabled for international use.
25- The hotel check-in time is 3:00 PM, and check-out time is 12:00 PM.
26- Requests related to the room by Wtatil (high floor, close to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) will be communicated to the hotel. Efforts will be made to ensure that the booked rooms are aligned with the guest's preferences according to the hotel's availability. The realization of such requests depends on the availability at the time of check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil.
27- Breakfast provided in hotels may differ from the rich breakfast commonly found in Turkish cuisine. They are typically served as a continental breakfast consisting of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee and may be served in a separate hall designated for groups.
28- In some cases, a double bed may be instead of twin beds. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be combined when necessary.
29- Child and additional bed policies may vary for each hotel according to room types.
30- All additional beds and baby cots are provided upon request and according to the hotel's availability, and must be approved by the hotel.
31- The capacity for additional beds or baby cots in the room is limited to 1 (maximum).
32- In triple rooms, there is an additional bed application; the bed assigned to the 3rd person in these types of rooms is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 additional bed. Additional beds are generally of the folding type or referred to as coach beds. Our guests acknowledge that they accept the potential crowding and bed type issues in rooms with triple bookings and/or reservations with children due to additional beds to be added to the standard room.
33- In hotel reservations, if the number of children and their ages traveling with adults is incorrectly stated by our guests, the respective hotels may charge additional fees. In such cases, the responsibility falls on the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification to determine ages for children.
34- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, a separate bed may not be available for the child. Child prices are only applicable if the child is staying alongside two adults. Child discounts are valid only for "single child" in the age range staying with two adults.
35- Intraday currency fluctuations are reflected in TL prices. The rates applicable at the time of payment are valid. Any additional requests and some additional services you may take at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) will be subject to extra charges by the hotel. These costs are not included in the purchase amount and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
36- Some countries may have different implementations regarding city, tourism, or local-level taxes. All city, tourism, or other taxes applied in this manner will be collected from the guest by the hotel during either entry or exit.
37- The travel distances given in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may extend due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographic location of the visited country, roadworks, and related conditions.
38- Wtatil may change the order of cities in the program or the main airline to be used without altering the content of the program if deemed necessary or in unavoidable circumstances.
39- Personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/IDs are the responsibility of participants in the tour, and Wtatil is not responsible for forgotten/lost/stolen items. Any costs incurred for the return of forgotten items in the event of being found will be borne by the owner of the item.
40- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and any relevant medications and reports for health issues they may have.
41- For potential extra expenses at the hotel, a photo ID/passport issued by official institutions and a credit card or cash deposit may be required at check-in. The return of the requested deposit at check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no intervention in this.
Visa and Passport
42- There is no visa requirement for T.C. (Turkish Republic) citizens.
43- Our guests' passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel.
44- For customs crossings/border crossings, there must be at least 2 blank pages in your passport for the entry-exit stamp to be placed.
45- Being exempt from visa for entry into the countries on this tour does not mean that entry/exit will be allowed; the passport police have the authority to deny you entry/exit, and Wtatil is not responsible for this; the responsibility lies with the passenger.
46- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who hold dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using their other country passport must consult the relevant consulates about the visa procedures for the country they are traveling to; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any resulting consequences.
47- In order to avoid issues at the border post due to a torn, damaged, wet, or similarly compromised passport; it is necessary to renew the passports. Otherwise, the responsibility lies with the passenger.
48- Guests under the age of 18 traveling alone or with only one parent may be asked by police officers for a document indicating the mutual consent of both parents upon entry/exit from the country; hence, it is advised that minors and their parents pay attention to this matter.
