Day 1: Istanbul – Basel – Colmar – Riquewihr – Freiburg – Zurich
We meet our valued guests in front of the AJet Airlines counter at the International Departures Terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 07:00. After check-in and passport procedures, we depart for Basel at 08:35 on AJet Airlines scheduled flight VF105. Arrival in Basel at 10:50 local time. After passport and baggage procedures, we begin our panoramic Basel city tour with our private coach waiting for us. During our panoramic tour of Basel, one of Switzerland’s cultural capitals, the places to be seen include Basel Cathedral (Basel Münster), the banks of the Rhine River, the historic city center, Hotel Les Trois Rois, and Marktplatz, the heart of the city. After the tour, there will be a short free time. After free time, we head toward the Alsace region of France. Our first stop will be Colmar, the pearl of the Alsace region and one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval towns. With its colorful half-timbered houses, flower-decorated balconies, cobblestone streets, and romantic canals, Colmar looks like a fairy tale. During our panoramic tour of Colmar, we will see Little Venice (Petite Venise), the Old Town of Colmar, historical squares, and the finest examples of Alsace architecture. After our Colmar tour, we proceed to Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting fairy-tale villages of the Alsace region. Riquewihr, which is thought to have inspired famous Disney fairy tales, is one of the most impressive villages in Alsace with its colorful houses, flower-decorated narrow streets, and medieval atmosphere. During our walking tour here, we will see the historic city walls, Dolder Tower, and architectural structures unique to the Alsace region. During the free time provided, you will have the opportunity to experience and photograph the unique atmosphere of this charming village. After our Riquewihr tour, we head to Freiburg in Germany, known as the capital of the Black Forest. Upon arrival in Freiburg, we will take a short panoramic city tour. Freiburg Cathedral, Münsterplatz, the historic city gates, the old town center, and fine examples of traditional German architecture will be seen. After the tour, we proceed to Zurich, one of the largest and most important cities in Switzerland. Upon arrival in Zurich, we will carry out our panoramic city tour. In this city, which is the financial and cultural center of Switzerland, Bahnhofstrasse, Fraumünster Church, Grossmünster, the Limmat River, Lake Zurich, and the historic city center will be seen panoramically. After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most impressive and most visited cities. After an enjoyable journey of about 1 hour, we arrive in Lucerne and carry out our panoramic city tour. In Lucerne, which has preserved its medieval architecture to the present day, the places to be seen during our tour include the city’s symbol, the famous wooden Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) built in the 14th century, Lake Lucerne, the Lion Monument built in memory of Swiss soldiers who lost their lives during the French Revolution, the historic city center, and impressive squares. Day 3: Milan – Bernina Express / Red Train – St. Moritz – Tirano – Milan and Surroundings
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for the unforgettable and dreamlike train journey on the Bernina railway line. Arriving in St. Moritz, the natural wonder of Switzerland and a frequent destination of the jet set, we will have free time and a short sightseeing tour depending on the train departure time on the UNESCO World Heritage Bernina railway line, and then we proceed to the station for our unforgettable and dreamlike journey by Bernina Express / Red Train. Built between 1898 and 1904, this world-famous line, now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has inspired the dreams of many travelers. During this fairy-tale journey, we will witness and photograph extraordinary landscapes. After approximately a 2-hour pleasant train journey, we arrive at Tirano Station and head to Milan by our waiting vehicle. Upon arrival in Milan, we begin our city tour. Rather than being merely attractive, Milan is stylish; rather than creative, it is affluent. Undoubtedly the lifeblood of Italy’s economy and one of Italy’s must-see cities. During our Milan city tour, we will see Castello Sforzesco, one of the city’s historical monuments; Galleria, which marked the 19th-century Industrial Revolution and is also known as Europe’s first covered shopping arcade. The famous French engineer Gustave Eiffel was inspired by this structure when designing the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Duomo, where Gothic art is prominently displayed, is the fourth largest church in the world with its exterior façade made up of more than 2,000 statues. On the fashion streets known as via Monte Napoleone and via La Spiga, you can admire the richness of the shop windows. After the tour, we head to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
