ISTANBUL – BASEL – BERN – (Swiss Alpine Villages by Train: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour) – GENEVA We arrive at Istanbul Airport International Terminal 3 hours before departure and, after completing baggage drop, ticketing, and passport control procedures, fly to Basel with Turkish Airlines flight TK1923 at 07:40. Upon arrival at Basel Airport at 09:45 local time, we transfer by our private vehicle waiting for us at the airport to Bern. Bern is one of the rare cities in Europe that has remained completely unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical character, it is included on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Official language of Bern is German, and the influence of German culture can also be seen in its architecture. After our tour of Bern, which is built around the Aare River, guests who wish may join the optional Swiss Alpine Villages by Train: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Interlaken. We will tour Interlaken, which takes its name from its location between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun (“inter-lakes”), and is famous for its natural beauty and the enchanting views of this beauty. Important hotels of the region, casinos, and shopping streets are located along the walking route of our tour. Victoria Jungfrau Hotel and Höhematte Park, two of the city’s historical symbols, will be seen panoramically. After free time for photos and sightseeing, we proceed to the train station for the next stop of our tour, Lauterbrunnen. After an approximately 20-minute train journey from Interlaken, we arrive in Lauterbrunnen. We will feel the deep structure of the valley and the steep rock walls as soon as we leave the station. Walking toward the village center, we will see the captivating structure of Staubbach Falls hanging down toward the valley floor panoramically and have the chance to photograph it. Lauterbrunnen is known for its small settlements and hiking paths lined along the valley that hosts 72 waterfalls. During our walk along the designated route in the village, we will take plenty of photos of the region’s traditional chalet architecture, the natural formations surrounding the valley floor, and the wonderful natural landscapes that resemble paradise. We return to Interlaken and complete our tour. After the tour, we depart for our Geneva city tour. Geneva, known as “the French of Switzerland,” is located on the shores of Lake Geneva and is a magnificent city where history, culture, science, and nature come together. The presence of international organizations’ headquarters (CERN, World Health Organization, UEFA, FIFA, United Nations) in Geneva makes the city a cultural and administrative center. During our tour of Geneva, where museums, parks, historical monuments and streets, and clean air meet, the main places to be seen include St. Pierre Cathedral, the Jet d’Eau fountain, which has become the symbol of Geneva and rises up to 140 meters, and the Reformation Monument. After our tour of Geneva, we head to our hotel in the Geneva region. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Geneva region, room assignment and free time to rest. GENEVA – (Annecy Tour) – NICE After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we head to Nice. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Annecy Tour (50 Euro). Known as the “Venice of the Alps” thanks to the canals running through it and the Thiou River, Annecy fascinates its visitors with its canal network and its extraordinary location between the mountains and the lake. During our tour in Annecy, Chateau d’Annecy, built in the 17th century and restored in 1947, St. Maurice Church, and Palais de l’Isle, a highlight for photography enthusiasts, will be seen panoramically. After a short free time on the shores of Lake Annecy, the third largest lake in France, we complete our tour and continue our journey to Nice. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Nice region, room assignment and free time to rest. NICE – (Cannes & Nice Tour) – (Eze & Monaco & Monte Carlo Tour) After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Cannes & Nice Tour (70 Euro). On this tour, we first head to Cannes. Famous for hosting the annual Cannes Film Festival, Cannes has a sparkling sea and golden sandy beaches. During our city tour, we first see the old town, the city’s original settlement. As we walk through its narrow, winding, pedestrian-only streets, we will have the chance to see souvenir shops and shop. After our visit to La Croisette Boulevard, which runs along the Cannes coast and is home to many luxury restaurants, shops, and hotels, and Meynadier Street, we arrive in Nice. In our Nice tour, Promenade des Anglais, Nice Port, Massena Square, Flower Market, and the Courthouse are among the places to be seen. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Portofino Tour by Boat (65 Euro). Surrounded by colorful houses, Portofino has inspired songs with all its beauty and enchants visitors with its narrow streets, colorful houses, green hills, and turquoise Mediterranean panorama. After our visit to Portofino, we head to the outlet center. After free time for enjoyable and affordable shopping at the famous outlet center, home to prestigious brands, cafés, restaurants, and personal activity areas, we complete our tour and arrive at our hotel in the Milan region. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time to rest. MILAN – (Milan Highlights and Como Tour) After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Milan Highlights and Como Tour (80 Euro). Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, also stands out with its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although known as Italy’s business and financial capital, Milan is also the right address for shopping and dining experiences. During our city tour, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano are among the main places to be seen. After a short free time following the Milan Highlights Tour, we proceed to Como for the second part of our tour. Upon arrival, we visit Lake Como, famous for its luxury lifestyle and natural beauty, home to summer residences of Hollywood celebrities, European elite, and the world jet set, and we take a photo break with the lake’s unique view. After free time in Como, we complete our tour and head back to our hotel in the Milan region. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Milan region, room assignment and free time to rest. MILAN – ST. MORITZ – BERNINA EXPRESS / RED TRAIN – ALSACE / BASEL After breakfast, we depart for St. Moritz for an unforgettable and dreamlike train journey on the Bernina railway line. Upon arrival in St. Moritz, one of Switzerland’s natural wonders and a favorite destination of the jet set, we may be offered free time and a short walking tour depending on the train departure time on the UNESCO World Heritage Bernina railway line, and then we arrive at the station for the unforgettable and enchanting journey by Bernina Express / Red Train. On this world-famous line, built between 1898 and 1904 and now listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, we will witness extraordinary views and have the chance to photograph them during this magical journey, which is a dream for many travel lovers. After an approximately 2-hour enjoyable train ride, we arrive at Tirano Station and return by our waiting vehicle to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region. ALSACE / BASEL – STRASBOURG – (Colmar Tour) – BASEL – ISTANBUL After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for our Strasbourg city tour. Located on the borders of Germany, Switzerland, and France, and also the largest city in the Alsace region, Strasbourg welcomes us like a picture from a fairy tale. Included on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1988 and home to the European Parliament since 1992, Strasbourg offers a panoramic city tour on foot through its car-free center and streets, where we will see Gutenberg Square and Statue, Notre Dame Cathedral, the city’s most important structure located in its very heart, and Kammerzell House, the oldest house in the city and still operating today as a hotel and restaurant. After the city tour, we head to Basel Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Colmar Tour (50 Euro). In our fairy-tale Colmar tour, we will see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the city’s most famous area, Petite Venise (Little Venice), with its colorful houses around the Rhine River. In the unique setting surrounded by the Rhine River and canals, you will have the opportunity to enjoy many delicious food options as well as purchase various souvenirs. After the Colmar tour, we continue our journey to Basel Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop, check-in, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines flight TK1926 at 19:10. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 23:15 local time and the end of the tour.
