ISTANBUL – BERGAMO – MILAN After completing baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control procedures at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal by being present 3 hours before the flight, we fly to Milan on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC1211 at 09:40. Upon arrival at Milan Bergamo Airport at 10:30 local time, we head to Milan city center to organize our city tour. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, is also known for its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although recognized as Italy’s business and financial capital, Milan is also the right destination for shopping and dining experiences. During our city tour, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano are among the main sights to be seen. At the end of the Milan city tour, we travel to our hotel in the Nice region. Upon arrival at the hotel, room check-in and free time for rest. MILAN – BERNINA EXPRESS / RED TRAIN – ST. MORITZ – ALSACE / BASEL After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we head out for an unforgettable and enchanting train journey on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Bernina railway line aboard the Bernina Express / Red Train. Built between 1898 and 1904, this world-famous train, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List today, promises a fairytale journey that dreams are made of. During the approximately 2-hour pleasant train ride, we will have the chance to admire and photograph extraordinary views. After arriving at St. Moritz Station, we will enjoy a short free time and sightseeing in St. Moritz, the natural wonder of Switzerland and a favorite destination of the jet set. Afterwards, we depart with our vehicle toward our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region. Upon arrival at the hotel, room check-in and free time for rest. ALSACE/BASEL – (Pearls of Alsace: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour) – STRASBOURG – FREIBURG – ALSACE/BASEL After breakfast, we head to Strasbourg. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Pearls of Alsace: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour (80 Euro). In this tour, we first visit Colmar, the fairy-tale town, where we will see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the colorful houses around the Rhine River in the famous Petite Venise (Little Venice) area. In the unique setting surrounded by the Rhine River and canals, you will have the opportunity to taste many delicious foods and buy souvenirs according to your preference. Our next stop is Riquewihr, famous for its vineyards, flower-adorned balconies, distinctive rows of shops, cobblestone streets where cars are not allowed, buildings that somehow escaped damage during World War II, and charming cafés, with its tower that houses the Dolder Museum, which preserves the city’s story with documents, resembling a Grimm fairy tale. After our visit to Riquewihr, we continue our journey to Strasbourg. Strasbourg, located on the borders of Germany, Switzerland, and France, and also the largest city in the Alsace region, welcomes us with a picture-perfect beauty as if taken from a fairy tale. Added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1988 and home to the European Parliament since 1992, Strasbourg offers a panoramic city tour on foot through its pedestrian center and streets, where we will see Gutenberg Square and Statue, the Notre Dame Cathedral, which is the city’s most important structure and located at its heart, and the Kammerzell House, the oldest house in the city and still operating today as a hotel and restaurant. After free time following the Strasbourg tour, we depart for Freiburg, one of the best examples of green urbanism. In Freiburg, where only low-carbon vehicles have been allowed since 2010 and transportation is mainly by tram and bicycle, our city tour will reveal traces of the historical and architectural cultures of Germany, France, Austria, Spain, and Sweden, all of which have ruled the city throughout history. Also known as the capital of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), Freiburg’s city tour includes the Freiburg Cathedral, the charming streets with small water channels unique to Freiburg, Martin’s Gate, the medieval city gate, and Rathausplatz. After the tour, we return to our hotel in the Alsace / Basel region. ALSACE/BASEL – (Bern & Gruyeres Tour) – LAUSANNE – MONTREUX AND FAIRY-TALE CASTLES – GENEVA After breakfast and hotel check-out, we head to Lausanne. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Bern & Gruyeres Tour (80 Euro). Our first stop will be Bern. Bern is one of the few cities in Europe that has remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical texture, it is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Located within Switzerland and officially German-speaking, Bern also shows the influence of German culture in its architecture. After our tour around Bern, we move on to our next stop, Gruyeres. Selected as Switzerland’s most beautiful village in 2014 and the homeland of the world-famous Gruyère cheese, Gruyères is a fairy-tale village that has preserved its medieval character to this day, giving its name to the region and its world-famous cheese, with flower-adorned houses and streets. Located on a hill at an altitude of 800 meters in the upper valley of the Saane River and free of vehicle traffic, this village is known not only for its cheese but also for Switzerland’s famous dish, fondue. After our sightseeing in Gruyères, we complete the tour and continue our journey to Lausanne. Lausanne, which holds an important place in our national history due to the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne on July 24, 1923, is also one of the important bishopric centers of the Middle Ages. With its castles from the Middle Ages, D’Ouchy Castle, palaces, cathedrals, and museum buildings, Lausanne takes visitors deep into history, and its location on the shores of Lake Geneva further enhances its appeal. After a short sightseeing tour in Lausanne, we visit Montreux. Montreux, also well known in our national history, is a city important not only for its castles, historic buildings, and natural beauty but also for the music world. The song Smoke on the Water tells the story of a casino fire in Montreux, and there is also a statue of Freddie Mercury, who spent the final period of his life working here. After the city tour in Montreux, we see the Chillon Castle, which has become the symbol of Montreux, panoramically and take photos of the postcard-perfect scenery. At the end of the tour, we head to Geneva. Known as the “French side of Switzerland,” Geneva is located on the shores of Lake Geneva and is a magnificent city where history, culture, science, and nature come together. The presence of the headquarters of international organizations such as CERN, the World Health Organization, UEFA, FIFA, and the United Nations has made Geneva an administrative and cultural center. During our tour in Geneva, where museums, parks, historical monuments and streets, and clean air come together, the main sights to be seen include St. Pierre Cathedral, the Jet d’Eau fountain, which has become the symbol of Geneva and rises up to 140 meters, and the Reformation Wall. While walking through the narrow, winding, pedestrian-only streets of the old town, we will have the chance to see souvenir shops and shop. After our visit to La Croisette Boulevard, which stretches along the Cannes coastline and is home to many luxury restaurants, shops, and hotels, and Meynadier Street, we arrive in Nice. NICE – (Portofino Tour) – OUTLET – MILAN After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for our visit to the outlet center in the Milan region. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Portofino Tour (65 Euro). We reach Portofino by public transportation. Surrounded by colorful houses, Portofino is a place that has inspired songs with all its beauty, and captivates visitors with its narrow streets, colorful houses, green hills, and turquoise Mediterranean scenery. After our Portofino tour, we continue our journey to the Milan Outlet shopping center, where we can find products from world-famous brands at affordable prices, and upon arrival we are given free time for shopping. After the outlet center visit, we head to our hotel in the Milan region. Upon arrival, room check-in and free time for rest. MILAN – (Como Tour) – BERGAMO – ISTANBUL After breakfast and hotel check-out, we head to Bergamo Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Como Tour (50 Euro). In this tour, we visit Lake Como, famous for hosting summer houses of Hollywood celebrities, European elites, and the world jet set, and we will enjoy the beauty of its scenery, which captivates visitors with the elegance and charm of evening lights. At the end of the tour, we continue our journey to the airport. Upon arrival at Bergamo Airport, after completing baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC1214 at 15:30. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 20:10 local time and end of the tour.
