Day 1: Istanbul – Basel – Colmar – Riquewihr – Freiburg – Zurich Meeting with our valued guests at 07:00 in front of the PGS Airlines counter at the International Departures Terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport. After passport and baggage procedures, we begin our panoramic Basel city tour by our private coach waiting for us. During our panoramic tour in Basel, one of Switzerland’s cultural capitals, the following places will be seen: Basel Cathedral (Basel Münster), the banks of the Rhine River, the historic city center, Hotel Les Trois Rois, and Marktplatz, the heart of the city. After the tour, a short free time will be given. After free time, we head towards the Alsace region of France. Our first stop will be Colmar, the pearl of Alsace and one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. In Colmar, which resembles a fairy-tale land with its colorful half-timbered houses, flower-adorned balconies, cobblestone streets, and romantic canals, our panoramic tour will include Little Venice (Petite Venise), the Old Town of Colmar, historical squares, and the finest examples of Alsatian architecture. After our Colmar tour, we move on to Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting fairy-tale villages of the Alsace region. Riquewihr, thought to have inspired the famous Disney fairy tales, is one of the most impressive villages in Alsace with its colorful houses, flower-adorned narrow streets, and medieval atmosphere. During the walking tour here, we will see the historic city walls, the Dolder Tower, and architectural structures unique to the Alsace region, and during the free time given, you will have the opportunity to experience and photograph the unique atmosphere of this exceptional village. After our Riquewihr tour, we head to Freiburg, located within Germany and known as the capital of the Black Forest. Upon arrival in Freiburg, we will conduct a short panoramic city tour. After a walking tour in the center of Chamonix and the free time given, we head to Geneva. After the free time, we depart for Geneva, one of Switzerland’s most important cities and home to the European headquarters of the United Nations.
