1st Day ISTANBUL – BOLOGNA – FLORENCE – MONTECATINI Meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Terminal. Departure to Bologna with Turkish Airlines. Upon arrival at Bologna Airport local time, transfer by private bus for a panoramic city tour of Florence. In our panoramic tour, we start by photographing the historic streets and squares of Florence and finish at Piazza della Repubblica. After a short break, our guests who wish may continue to explore UNESCO World Heritage Florence, the capital of the Renaissance, step by step with our guide. In the afternoon, there is an opportunity to join the extra tour “Renaissance Works in the Footsteps of the Medici” (45€). On this tour, we will examine in detail the history of Florence, and the monuments of this historic city, accompanied by the life stories of Florentine artists and scientists who shaped the Renaissance period. During the tour, we will see Palazzo Vecchio, where the Medici family ruled in Florence, Piazza della Signoria, home to the Hercules and David statues, one of the masterpieces of the Renaissance; the Uffizi Art Gallery; Ponte Vecchio, the city’s oldest bridge, and the Medici Corridor; the house of Dante Alighieri, the famous literary master who wrote the epic poem Divine Comedy in the 13th century; the Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore, with the 3rd highest dome in Italy; the Baptistery, famous for its “Gates of Paradise”; and Florence’s famous historic markets. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel. 2nd Day FLORENCE (MONTECATINI) After breakfast at the hotel, free day. For those who wish, we depart with our guide for the Great Tuscany tour (145€). The places to be visited on our tour are Pisa - San Gimignano - Volterra. Pisa is famous for its leaning tower, considered one of the world’s most important historic monuments. During the panoramic visit, Pisa Tower, the cathedral, the baptistery, and Piazza dei Miracoli will be visited, and guests who wish may take photos in this historic city. San Gimignano (the City of 13 Towers) features a visit to Piazza della Cisterna, the central square in the city built by rival noble families in the 12th and 13th centuries. Here, you can shop extensively at reasonable prices. Volterra, a medieval walled city full of history at every corner, has also been featured in Hollywood films and TV series (Game of Thrones, Twilight Zone, etc.). This unique Tuscan town, whose history dates back to the Etruscans and Romans, offers visitors many opportunities. During our Volterra visit, we will walk through its narrow medieval streets and squares with magnificent views of the Tuscan valley. Places to be seen include the Roman Theatre, the remains of the forum area, the main square of the town, Piazza dei Priori, and the Volterra Cathedral, built in the 12th century. During free time, you can taste cheese and the famous wines from the town’s small shops and sip your coffee at the historic cafés in the square. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel. 3rd Day FLORENCE - MONTECATINI – ROME After breakfast at the hotel, we leave our hotel and head to Rome by private vehicle with our guide. Upon arrival, a panoramic Rome city tour. On our tour, we will see the Vatican (St. Peter’s), Castel Sant’Angelo, the ruins of the Circus Maximus stadium from Ancient Rome, and the streets from the Baroque period, all from the bus in a panoramic way. After a short photo break at the Colosseum, the tour ends and there is free time in the afternoon. In the evening, for those who wish, we depart for the extra Rome Night Tour (45€), where we will see famous squares we did not visit before in Rome and enjoy walking through its streets. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel. 4th Day ROME After breakfast at the hotel, free day. For those who wish, our guide will organize the extra Albano Lake & Nemi Roman Villages (Strawberry Village) & Castelli Romani Outlet (95€) tour. We visit the natural beauties of the area where the Popes spent their summers, and the Nemi village, famous for its wild strawberries. The tour continues to Castel Romano Designer Outlet, where there is shopping opportunity with many famous brands. Following this tour, in the rest of the day, those who wish may join the extra Rome Monuments and Masterpieces (65€) tour, in which we will explore the ancient Pantheon temple, one of the oldest monuments of the city; Piazza Navona, which has become Rome’s most famous square with its Baroque architecture and famous fountain; the Trevi Fountain, where it is believed that those who throw a coin into the fountain will return to Rome; the Spanish Steps, famous for street artists; and Castel Sant’Angelo and its bridge. In this tour, where you will explore the city step by step with your guide, get ready to lose yourself in Rome’s ancient stories and historical atmosphere. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel. 5th Day ROME – ISTANBUL After breakfast, transfer to the airport. Departure to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight, arrival in Istanbul local time, and end of the tour.
