ANKARA – STUTTGART – STRASBOURG – (Alsace Pearls: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour) – ALSACE / BASEL After baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control at Ankara Esenboğa Airport International Terminal, completed 3 hours before departure, we fly to Stuttgart on SunExpress Airlines’ direct scheduled flight XQ790 at 04:35. Upon arrival at Stuttgart Airport at 06:55 local time, we head to Strasbourg with our private coach waiting at the airport. Strasbourg, located on the borders of Germany, Switzerland, and France, and also the largest city in the Alsace region, welcomes us with a fairytale-like beauty, as if it had come straight out of a painting. During our panoramic city tour on foot through Strasbourg’s vehicle-free center and streets, which was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1988 and has hosted the European Parliament since 1992, we will see Gutenberg Square and Statue, Notre Dame Cathedral, the city’s most important building located in the very heart of the city, and Kammerzell House, the oldest house in the city, which still serves as a hotel and restaurant today. After the Strasbourg tour and the free time that follows, we transfer to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region. Our next stop is Riquewihr, famous for its vineyards, flower-filled balconies, unique row of shops, cobblestone pedestrian streets, buildings that somehow survived World War II without damage, and charming cafes; with its tower housing the Dolder Museum, which carries the story of the town to the present day, it resembles a Grimm fairy tale. After our visit in Riquewihr, we continue to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time for rest. ALSACE / BASEL – HEIDI’S VILLAGES & ST. MORITZ – BERNINA EXPRESS / RED TRAIN – MILAN After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for St. Moritz for our unforgettable and breathtaking train journey on the Bernina railway line. Following our panoramic drive through Heidi’s Villages, with the vast mountains and green meadows that remind us of many scenes from the beloved childhood cartoon of Heidi, our charming heroine who lived in the Alps with her grandfather and her best friend Peter, we arrive in St. Moritz, Switzerland’s natural wonder and a favorite destination of the jet set. After some free time and a short surrounding tour depending on the Bernina railway train departure time, we head to the station for our unforgettable and dreamlike journey on the Bernina Express / Red Train. Built between 1898 and 1904, this world-famous line, now on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is a dream route for many travel lovers. During this magical journey, we will enjoy extraordinary scenery and have the opportunity to take photographs. After approximately 2 hours of pleasant train travel, we arrive at Tirano Station and return to our hotel in the Milan region with our waiting vehicle. MILAN – (Portofino Tour by Boat) – NICE After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we set off for our Milan city tour. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, also stands out for its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although it is known as Italy’s business and financial capital, it is also the right place for shopping and dining experiences. During our city tour in Milan, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano are among the main places to be seen. After the Milan city tour, we depart for Nice. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Portofino Tour by Boat (65 Euro). Portofino, surrounded by colorful houses and inspiring songs with its beauty, captivates visitors with its narrow streets, colorful houses, green hills, and turquoise Mediterranean views. After our Portofino visit, we continue our journey to Nice. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Nice region, room assignment and free time for rest. NICE – (Cannes & Nice Tour) – (Eze & Monaco & Monte Carlo Tour) After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Cannes & Nice Tour (70 Euro). On this tour, we first depart for Cannes. Famous for hosting the Cannes Film Festival every year, Cannes has a sparkling sea and golden beaches. During our city tour in Cannes, we will first see the old town, the city’s first settlement. While walking through the narrow, winding, and traffic-free streets of the old town, we will have the chance to see souvenir shops and shop. After our visit to La Croisette Boulevard, which stretches along Cannes’ coast and is home to many luxury restaurants, shops, and hotels, and Meynadier Street, we enjoy free time and then arrive in Nice. NICE – (Annecy Tour) – GENEVA After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Geneva. On the way, guests who wish may join the optional Annecy Tour (50 Euro). Annecy, known as the “Venice of the Alps” because of the canals and the Thiou River flowing through it, fascinates visitors with its canal-based structure and its extraordinary location between mountains and a lake. During our tour in Annecy, Chateau d’Annecy, built in the 17th century and restored in 1947, St. Maurice Church, and Palais de l’Isle, a magnet for photography lovers, will be seen panoramically. After a short free time on the shores of Lake Annecy, the third largest lake in France, we complete the tour and continue our journey to Geneva. GENEVA – BERN – (Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour by Train) – ALSACE / BASEL After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for our Geneva city tour. Known as the “French city of Switzerland,” Geneva is located on the shores of Lake Geneva and is a magnificent city where history, culture, science, and nature come together. The fact that international institutions such as CERN, the World Health Organization, UEFA, FIFA, and the United Nations have their headquarters in Geneva gives the city a central cultural and administrative role. During our tour in Geneva, where museums, parks, historical monuments, streets, and fresh air come together, the main sights will be St. Pierre Cathedral, the Jet d’Eau fountain, which has become the symbol of Geneva and rises up to 140 meters, and the Reformation Wall. After the city tour, we head to Bern. Bern is one of the few European cities that has remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical character, it is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Located in Switzerland and with German as its official language, Bern also reflects German cultural influence in its architecture. Named “inter-lakes” because it is located between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, Interlaken is famous for its natural beauty and breathtaking views. Important hotels, casinos, and shopping streets of the region are along our walking tour route. Victoria Jungfrau Hotel and Höhematte Park, one of the city’s historical symbols, will be seen panoramically. After free time for photography and sightseeing, we proceed to the train station for our next stop, Lauterbrunnen. Taking the train from Interlaken, we arrive in Lauterbrunnen after approximately 20 minutes. We will feel the deep shape of the valley and the steep rock walls as soon as we leave the station. Walking toward the village center, we will see the mesmerizing structure of Staubbach Falls descending toward the valley floor panoramically and have the chance to photograph it. Lauterbrunnen is known for its 72 waterfalls, small settlements along the valley, and walking paths. On our walk along the designated route within the village, we will photograph the traditional chalet architecture of the region, the natural formations surrounding the valley floor, and its heavenly scenery. In Freiburg, where since 2010 only low-carbon vehicles have been allowed and transportation is mainly provided by tram and bicycle, and which is known as the city of happy people, our city tour will reveal traces of the historical and architectural cultures of Germany, France, Austria, Spain, and Sweden, under whose rule the city has stood throughout history. Freiburg, also known as the capital of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), offers the Freiburg Cathedral, the charming streets with small water canals unique to Freiburg, Martin’s Gate, the medieval gate of the city, and Rathausplatz among the sights to be seen. After the tour, we continue our journey to the outlet center. This outlet center, home to stylish stores of world-famous prestigious brands, cafes and restaurants, and recreational areas, offers free time for pleasant shopping at affordable prices and with quality products. STUTTGART – ANKARA After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Stuttgart Airport for our return flight to Ankara. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control, we fly to Ankara on SunExpress Airlines’ direct scheduled flight XQ791 at 08:05. Arrival at Esenboğa Airport at 12:10 local time and end of the tour.
