DAY 1: ISTANBUL AIRPORT – NAPLES – POMPEII AND CITY TOUR Meeting with our valued guests at 04:00 at the Turkish Airlines international departures F counters (counters 1–27) after entering through Gate 3 at Istanbul Airport, and check-in procedures. Departure to Naples at 06:55 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1453. Arrival in Naples at 08:20 local time. We head to Pompeii with our waiting vehicle. Once one of the largest cities in the Mediterranean during the Roman Empire, Pompeii was buried under the ashes of Mount Vesuvius and, thanks to excavation work continuing for two centuries, has become one of the world’s largest open-air museums. In Pompeii, where many structures from the Roman period can still be seen intact, you will walk through the streets and discover the civilization of that era, and have the chance to see human remains buried under Vesuvius’s ashes. After the tour, we head to the center of Naples. On the panoramic bus tour of Naples, a typical Mediterranean city built on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, the birthplace of Italian pizza and where Neapolitan songs were born, the elite district of the city, Enrico Caruso’s house, a photo stop on Vomero Hill, the Royal Castle, and the Santa Lucia coastline will be among the sights seen. At the end of the tour, transfer to our hotel in Naples and overnight at the hotel. DAY 2: SORRENTO - CAPRI After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour at the time previously announced by our guide. Sorrento is the city of lemons and oranges, the birthplace of the poet Torquato Tasso, the land of colors, and the home of mermaids. Having also hosted the famous Soviet writer Maxim Gorky in the 1920s, Sorrento is a charming southern city where goodness and hospitality blend together and are passed down from generation to generation. After our Sorrento tour, we head to Capri. After the high-speed ferry journey, we arrive on Capri Island. Places to visit in Capri include the Capri town above the harbor, the town of Anacapri at the highest point of the hill, the Gardens of Augustus, and the shopping street. Those who wish may take the cable car from Anacapri to the island’s highest point and enjoy a magnificent view. At the end of the tour, return to our hotel in Naples and overnight at the hotel. DAY 3: POSITANO - AMALFI After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour at the time previously announced by our guide. On the Costiera Amalfitana, known as one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, we first visit Positano, then the Amalfi coast by bus. Amalfi, the capital of the Amalfi Maritime Republic, was an important trading center between 800 and 1200. Located in the Gulf of Salerno, 35 km south of Naples, the city of Amalfi was a popular destination for British aristocrats and wealthy people in the 1920s and 1930s. Today, together with Positano, Ravello, and the other towns along the coastline, it is an important tourist destination. At the end of the tour, return to our hotel in Naples and overnight at the hotel. DAY 4: NAPLES - ISTANBUL After breakfast, we complete our hotel check-out procedures and head to the airport at the time specified by our guide. After ticketing and baggage procedures, departure from Naples to Istanbul at 16:00 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1464. Arrival in Istanbul at 19:25 and end of the tour.
