Day 1 İstanbul – Bologna – Milan Meeting 3 hours before departure in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport, International Departures Terminal. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Bologna on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1321 at 07:50. Upon arrival at 09:25 local time, our panoramic city tour begins with the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Bologna is a historic settlement established in the region between the Apennine Mountains in northern Italy and stands out with its cultural richness. During this lovely city tour, Piazza Maggiore Square, San Petronio Basilica, Podesta Palace, and the Town Hall will be among the places to be seen. After the tour, we depart for Milan. In Milan, a city with a rich historical and cultural past, the places to be seen include Castello Sforzesco (Milan Castle) with its magnificent architecture, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, one of the world’s oldest shopping arcades, the splendid Duomo Cathedral, and La Scala, one of the world’s largest theater buildings. The city, whose name started to be mentioned as early as the 5th century BC, is also important as the capital of the Genoese state and the hometown of the famous explorer Christopher Columbus. (70 Euro) Our first stop is Park Guell. One of Antoni Gaudí’s magnificent works, Park Guell is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the fairy-tale park, it creates a magical atmosphere with its colorful stairways and imaginary pavilions. After seeing this magnificent work by Gaudí, our second stop is the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages and admire the historical texture through its narrow, labyrinth-like streets, Gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls. Among the most important structures in the neighborhood are Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King’s Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, we head to the airport.
