1st Day Izmir – Belgrade
Meet at the Adnan Menderes Airport International Departure Terminal 3 hours before our flight. We depart for Belgrade at 13:50 on AJet Airlines flight number VF1001. After a comfortable flight, we arrive at 13:45, and after completing entry procedures, we start our city tour of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, known for its vibrancy and liveliness, and one of the oldest cities in Europe. We will visit the Old Palace adorned with magnificent carved ceilings from the Turkish period, the Millennium Monument, the Belgrade Fortress at the point where the Sava River merges with the Danube, which was the center of supply for the Ottoman fleet, the Kalemegdan Park, Military Museum, the tomb of Martyr Ali Pasha, and the Flag Mosque. After the city tour, we have a free time for the rest of the day; guests who wish can join the Zemun & Avala Tower & Tito's Tomb Tour & Tesla Museum Tour. Overnight at our hotel in Belgrade.
Extra Tour: Zemun & Avala Tower & Tito's Tomb Tour & Tesla Museum: 70 Euro
Guests wishing to participate in the extra tour to Zemun - Avala Tower and Tito's tomb can join. First, we go to Zemun, where we will see the mansions, market, tavern street, old theater, and Zemun park from the Austria-Hungary period. Next, we will visit the Avala Tower, designed by architects Ugljesa Bogunovic and Slobodan Janjic. The tower was bombed by NATO in 1999 and reopened in 2010. After exploring the tower, we will visit the memorial tomb of Marshal Tito, the founder of the 2nd Yugoslavia, who was elected President of Yugoslavia on January 13, 1953, transforming it into a Socialist Federal Republic. He was appointed lifetime president in 1974 and died in 1980, leaving behind a controversial legacy. After visiting Tito's tomb, we will head to the Tesla Museum. Nikola Tesla, a Serbian-American inventor, physicist, and electrophysicist, made many groundbreaking discoveries and inventions that could fundamentally change the structure of science and technology globally, including the wireless transmission of electricity, which exemplifies his uniqueness as an inventor. We are sure you will be amazed by this museum.
2nd Day - Belgrade
After breakfast, we have a free day; guests who wish can participate in the Novi Sad - Sremski Karlovci Tour. After the tour, we will return to Belgrade. Overnight at our hotel in Belgrade.
Extra Tour: Novi Sad & Sremski Karlovci Tour: 75 Euro
On this tour, we will travel to Novi Sad by private vehicle in the morning. Our first stop is Sremski Karlovci, a beautiful town where the Karlowitz Peace Treaty was signed after 72 days of negotiations between the Ottoman Empire and Austria-Hungary, Venice, and Poland in 1699. During our visit, we will see the four-gated location where the treaty was signed, the square, four lion fountains, the historical high school, and the Orthodox and Catholic churches. After a coffee break, we continue our journey. Along the way, we will see the Belgrade Gate, clock tower, upper town, long barrack, and Leopold Gate at the Petrovaradin Fortress. We will then arrive in Novi Sad. Vojvodina is a multi-ethnic province in northern Serbia and is the most developed region economically, with Novi Sad as its capital. During our walking tour, we will see Freedom Square, the People's Theater, the Danube Street and waterfront, Svetozar Miletić Statue, the Catholic Cathedral, the Orthodox Saint George Cathedral, Saint Nicholas Church, and the Synagogue, among others, panoramically.
3rd Day Belgrade - Izmir
After breakfast and vacating the rooms, we have free time. At the time set by our guide, we will transfer to the airport. After handling luggage, ticketing, and check-in procedures, we depart for Adnan Menderes Airport on Ajet Airlines flight number VF1002 at 15:35. We arrive at 19:15, concluding our tour. We look forward to seeing you again on our next organization.
